Summer Location: Queen Victoria gardens.

The aim is not for a solely firetwirling night, but a night whereby firetwirlers, jugglers, contact jugglers, diabolo etc can meet. So feel free to bring friends who may be interested.

Night starts at 6pm for all those who are keen to learn. Fire starts after dark 7.00 - 8ish till late!

So.... the location is Queen Victoria Gardens

St. Kilda Road – opposite 'National Gallery of VIC' (Old Arts Gallery with spire)

The grassed area near the three raised palm trees. (Look out for the bronze statue hammer thrower)

With only a 5 minute walk over the princess bridge from Flinders Street station.

Here's the map

https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...360&ie=UTF8

*WINTER LOCATION*

Under the Princess bridge (Southbank side). Where the Southbank Sundey market happens.

at the moment we're twirling under swanston st. bridge, on the southbank side. we get started around 6:30ish, but at the moment we're unsure about what we can get away with fire wise.

cheers, pete hug

We can't get away with using fire under the bridge..even though someone read somewhere that technically we can because we aren't busking..but we would like to keep spinning there so we just keep the peace. If you do REALLY want to light up though you can follow the path down to the other side of the bridge where its pretty quiet ..you have nothing to do with us though if you get busted hehe wink smile

see you soon maybe biggrin

The cops drive through and try to mow us down all the time... lol...

The cops'll never care unless we disturb the peace... they don't care if we light up, have a buskers licence or not etc... thats all melbourne city council goons... lol

I think we should make the twirling reminder a nice round number, like 30... so stop being lazy and come back to spinning :P

hey there

yeah, we're still under swanston st. bridge, on the southbank side. we gather from about 6ish onwards.

also, the past couple of sundays, the weather's been looking better. who's up for going back to the park as of the start of October? of course, keeping the bridge as the wet weather plan.

cheers, pete hug kiss

if you look 7 pages back in the thread from this page, you'll find a map of the old site.
the location of the meet when it is held under the bridge is just to the left of the red dot in the upper-left hand corner of the map.

[Old link]

it's a good indication of where the bridge site is in relation to the three-trees site.

would have liked to attend sunday actually, but was too exhausted from doof to go. hope u had fun, guys.

Peetle, I was going to say the same thing!!!... Weather is definately getting better, (still will be a bit cold though) maybe people should bring blankies to sit on while on grass...
But maybe we should wait until that friday or saturday to make the decision so that we can see the weather outlook (not that they're ever right anyway lol)

you guys do like to make things complicated don't you?!?!?!

i rekon if it's say below perhaps 12 degrees and it is a fool moon and the wind is blowing in a north Eastly direction then you should play somewhere in the city!

I'd love to go back to the park, but I don't think it is quite warm enough yet. I think the simplest solution would be daylight savings times in the park, normal time under the bridge.
