Summer Location: Queen Victoria gardens.

The aim is not for a solely firetwirling night, but a night whereby firetwirlers, jugglers, contact jugglers, diabolo etc can meet. So feel free to bring friends who may be interested.

Night starts at 6pm for all those who are keen to learn. Fire starts after dark 7.00 - 8ish till late!

So.... the location is Queen Victoria Gardens

St. Kilda Road – opposite 'National Gallery of VIC' (Old Arts Gallery with spire)

The grassed area near the three raised palm trees. (Look out for the bronze statue hammer thrower)

With only a 5 minute walk over the princess bridge from Flinders Street station.

Here's the map

https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...360&ie=UTF8

*WINTER LOCATION*

Under the Princess bridge (Southbank side). Where the Southbank Sundey market happens.

Hi James. If you check the first post in this thread then that's where we are.

Basically continue down Swanston St past Flinders St station and we're in the gardens opposite the National Gallery under 3 palm trees near the hammer thrower statue.

Someone who is actually from Melbourne might be able to explain that better though!

.All things are beautiful if we take the time to look.

Petey - I'm glad you will be there with pants on, this time of year it might be cold without them! ubblol (But I do have some bells you can borrow!)

Red - I will be there too! Not sure about pants because I do wear skirts a lot, but you can be sure I'll be wearing "pants" by the English-English meaning! wink

Roar - and is THAT what that statue is? I never knew!!

mate, many apologies, as the directions aren't very outsider-friendly!!

please don't ask people around town about where to find alexandria gardens, it'll not have the three palm trees of doom™ that will be a distinctive/massive marker for the QV Gardens.

here's a map, buddy! just follow the yellow brick road to the palm trees of doom™

in other news, vegemite doth go well with burnt toast. please be careful now that it is autumn, to keep up your vitamin B levels with delish vegemite!

I would *love* to have u over for dinner, durbs!! I'll want to attend any VIC fire gathering u'd be at....

Excellent map Bender! biggrin

I realised that Danny Dhoy's show isn't until 8.15 (and it's at the Town Hall just up the road) on Sunday so if everyone is getting there at 5 cause of daylight savings I should be able to make it for a bit smile

I may even make some more slice like last time!

Dammit Durbs! You come on the night that I can't make it! I can't really afford petrol money (two hour drive) and I can't walk cause I have an infected foot! frown

If it's raining then we go under a bridge nearby, but someone who knows Melbourne better than I do can explain that better for you! ubblol
