Summer Location: Queen Victoria gardens.

The aim is not for a solely firetwirling night, but a night whereby firetwirlers, jugglers, contact jugglers, diabolo etc can meet. So feel free to bring friends who may be interested.

Night starts at 6pm for all those who are keen to learn. Fire starts after dark 7.00 - 8ish till late!

So.... the location is Queen Victoria Gardens

St. Kilda Road – opposite 'National Gallery of VIC' (Old Arts Gallery with spire)

The grassed area near the three raised palm trees. (Look out for the bronze statue hammer thrower)

With only a 5 minute walk over the princess bridge from Flinders Street station.

Here's the map

https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...360&ie=UTF8

*WINTER LOCATION*

Under the Princess bridge (Southbank side). Where the Southbank Sundey market happens.

I've had a look in the age and on the melbourne2006 site for info about closures and i haven't found anything. Do you have any references?

I doubt there will be too much trouble with twirling at our normal spot in the queen vic gardens and even if there is trouble with our toys and public transport it would hardly be worth moving anywhere as most of us depend on pt to get to any twirling meet.

actaully I think alexandra gardens might be blocked off..well I saw fency stuff anyway, but we are queen vic gardens so we'll be right..if not we will kick the fence and roll on the ground and other... things and scare people out of melbourne.

hug me!

Regardless if it's blocked off or not, I imagine it may be more crowded than usual. This could be good or bad ^^

Hmm, i wonder if the police are going to try and take us out.
I mean, melbourne doesnt have alternative peopl - no no, we dont have smokers either, or bums, and our city is pristine clean and all trains run on time.

*le sigh*

I went past our normal twirling spot on the tram today, there are no barriers or anything nasty like that, so i don't think there will be any trouble unless they decide that we are terrorists or something stupid like that. The closest games nonsense was at the alexandra gardens (we technically twirl at the queen victoria gardends...)

ookie dokie in the paper today was a map of commonwealth games junk and there is going to be a big screen in queen vic gardens aswell as alexandra gardens. I don't know how close it will be to us but I can imagine(seeing I think we are in the biggest clearing of the park) it/people will be right in our way. hmm maybe we should discuss it on sunday incase it is and decide where we can push off to.

I hope that made sense.

hug me!
