more questions.
Being extremely new to this, shall i call it lifestyle? i have noticed that there are a large amount of people who enjoy grooving to psy-trance and techno. A few months ago before i discovered spinning i dug out my rebellious and painful to listen to when i was a fourteen year old trance'CRIKEY it was bad. The thing is i have realised that there is still nothing better than raving all night to some really good psy-trance. This stuff i lack and am not too sure on any good makers of this genre of music. I have heard of one person/band (i don't even know that) called hallucinogen.
Is s/he/ any good and does anyone have any recommendations.
I know my stuff about almost any other kind of music so i would be more than happy to return a favour or answer your questions if there are any. thank you.

I'm not really all that good with artist names and the like but I recommend finding a decent(sp?, damnit brain, work!) independant music shop near you and just asking the people who work there.

alternatively just buy some magazines such as 'Wax', 'Ministry of Sound', 'M8' basically and dance mag. The free CD's are usually pretty reasonable.

another way is to look for good labels, only one I can think of at the moment is 'Blue Room' (I think).

Anyway free CD's usually have decent hard house/trance/techno.

wow that was pretty damned vague *gives himself a pat on the back, realises that one should not hold fire-poi when patting oneself on the back*

oh and go to sites like mp3.com and search under eletronic for some free music, takes sifting through but should be rewarding.

p.s. I'm down in cornwall (newquay) from the 3rd of August, so if you're nearby and feel like a spin?..........

If you want to buy some trance on cd or vinyl have a look around www.chemicalrecords.co.uk. I buy a lot of Jungle on vinyl from them but I know that they've got a lot of trance, tech trance and acid trance to choose from.

If you can narrow down which style of trance you like the most I can help you out further then. Also, there are a few trance DJ's on this site too, I think DJ Tact and Master Na are for example, so maybe pm them and go from there.

Peace.

You may want to check out a group called "Way Out West" Some of the bet electronic music made. And to Mike Ginny, Rabbit in the Moon are excellent as well, they're older stuff at least. I have been to their house in Tampa Florida, and went SCUBA diving with them a couple of times too! Anyways, listen to everything you own and something will catch you just right....

I'm not jealous. Nope, not even a little.

Ok, maybe a little.

Ok, maybe a bit more than a little.

Ok, maybe I hate you now and I'm going to plot my entire life to one-up you.
