Summer Location: Queen Victoria gardens.

The aim is not for a solely firetwirling night, but a night whereby firetwirlers, jugglers, contact jugglers, diabolo etc can meet. So feel free to bring friends who may be interested.

Night starts at 6pm for all those who are keen to learn. Fire starts after dark 7.00 - 8ish till late!

So.... the location is Queen Victoria Gardens

St. Kilda Road – opposite 'National Gallery of VIC' (Old Arts Gallery with spire)

The grassed area near the three raised palm trees. (Look out for the bronze statue hammer thrower)

With only a 5 minute walk over the princess bridge from Flinders Street station.

Here's the map

https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...360&ie=UTF8

*WINTER LOCATION*

Under the Princess bridge (Southbank side). Where the Southbank Sundey market happens.

I dont think i know most of you but anyhows.

im coming over to melbourne for about a week round christmas, and woud love to get to as many fire meets as i could during that week, and meet as many fiery people, so i would appreciate a list of days when people get together, cos frankly, sifting through 45 pages of random thoughts and digressions hasnt gotten me anywhere.

Yoinked from https://www.information.vic.gov.au/resources/daylight.htm
:

At start of daylight saving period, move clock forward one hour at 2 am EST (Eastern Standard Time);
At end of daylight saving period, move clock back one hour at 2 am EST (Eastern Standard Time).

2006/2007
Starts: 2am Standard Time (Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday 29 October
Ends: 2am Standard Time (Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday 25 March

So you move the clock one hour forward on the 29th of October. that iwll make revision fun :P

No Clarence, you will not postpone your trip if it is raining. There is a really good undercover bit that everyone uses, and besides, I think it will be my last week in Melbourne!!! eek

So you'd better be there! biggrin

Ok, im coming this week. Im brushing the dust off my sticks and getting motivated. I have never been under the bridge and dont have a clue where it is. Im sure that there is a detailed account of how to get there in this thread somewhere but there are 46 pages and i only have dial up internet. Im really too tired to go searching for it.

I will!!! I learnt lots of new stuff! Although I wasn't at common ground, and what I learnt has nothihng to do with spinning...

I wanna be back in the park already. I like the grass much better than the bridge.
