Summer Location: Queen Victoria gardens.

The aim is not for a solely firetwirling night, but a night whereby firetwirlers, jugglers, contact jugglers, diabolo etc can meet. So feel free to bring friends who may be interested.

Night starts at 6pm for all those who are keen to learn. Fire starts after dark 7.00 - 8ish till late!

So.... the location is Queen Victoria Gardens

St. Kilda Road – opposite 'National Gallery of VIC' (Old Arts Gallery with spire)

The grassed area near the three raised palm trees. (Look out for the bronze statue hammer thrower)

With only a 5 minute walk over the princess bridge from Flinders Street station.

Here's the map

https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...360&ie=UTF8

*WINTER LOCATION*

Under the Princess bridge (Southbank side). Where the Southbank Sundey market happens.

Could I steal that from you via a memory stick if I bring one?

Also, would anyone be interested in a Fete this Saturday?

If the weather isn't shitful this Sunday I might drop by for a look, however if its a fire-free night I won't stay too long since I leave for work earrrly. Was going to come out last Sunday night but was still slightly off-color from godskitchen. Here's hoping for no rain Sunday.

Indeed.

The fete I was talking about earlier is on Saturday at a primary school in Ringwood (Holy Spirit for anyone with a Melways smile). I might not be there for long, and I'll probably be there morning ish, but hope to see some people there!

If not, I'll be there on Sunday biggrin

hey kiddies... its almost that time of year again to start considdering moving on back to the lovely park.

(i think) last time we changed we decided to start doing day light savings in the park, and the rest of the year under the bridge. just checking then, daylight savings begins on sunday 28th at 2am, so we could move then.. or, we could go a more exact 'from the beginning of november onwards'

it seems to be best to pick a precise date, rather than to say 'if the weather is XXXX, meet and place XXXX' as that tends to cause mass confusion.

so, any suggestions?

cheers, petey hug kiss

Awww, now I'll have to start buying fuel and looking at building a fire meteor.

The first weekend of November (3rd/4th) is probably a good place to start heading back to the park smile

ah now you would Rougie. 3rd/4th sounds good. Means I'll have to get off my butt and order some new fire poi or get to Juggle art then... Hmmm not a bad thing I think shrug

I'd say go for the actual daylight savings date, so Sunday 28th. That way we're sticking to our normal routine and still have a week or so to tell everyone who doesnt regularaly post on HoP.

im thinking first of november may work better, as anyone who doesnt make it this weekend, is much more likely to make it next weekend, to be told of the move.. that way it *should* minimize the amount of people getting confused and going home smile
