About the only people who will insure for fire nowadays is a company caled Events Insurance Ltd:

https://www.events-insurance.co.uk/

and another one called Insurex-Exposure:

https://www.expo-sure.com/

Most other insurance firms may offer you a quote, but in almost all cases they will just broker for one of the above two companies.

However, bear in mind that this will cost a lot of money (possibly talking about several hundred pounds per person - up to several thousands for a large crew), and that you will not be covered for Fire-breathing (not that thats ever a good idea anyway!)

Oh, and make sure that you give them as much detail as humanly possible, as even the little things can make a huge difference (e.g mention if you will have your own fire-extinguishing gear etc)

Good luck! smile

this insurance company counrty mutual provides the necessary insurance for £140 a year. BUT I don't hold out much hope of you getting it by bonfire weekend. They are mad busy and mine took 4 weeks. Good luck anyway

Yours took 4 weeks confused

I took out insurance with them for my housemate last week and they were able to fax it over to me the same day. When I took mine out it was faxed over same day as well. Didn't take much longer in the post either! I guess you were just unlucky frown

If I remember, Country Mutual are one of the many people I have asked for quotes in the past, and they are just intermediaries for one of the two big firms I mentioend in my first post, but it might be worth trying them anyway (or at least asking if they are brokers...) rolleyes
