but
In the rules for the COL5 i read that:
"2 - Only a selected 36* entries will make it to final COL5. Must arrive before 30th June 2004 at Home of Poi, 39 Woodbury Street, Christchurch, New Zealand. (* if some entries are shorter than 4 minutes then more can be allowed to fit on tape.) "
and i see here only 26 entries. what happened? If there was a change of rules or smthng ?
but COL5 is finnaly here ^^

Congrats to all the talented folks who made it on the video.
I'm pretty bumed out that I didn't make it.. I was hoping the fire nun-chucks would be in. Deffinately going to have to get a copy to see who beat me out. Any one know when it is released for sale???

I reckon if you get to work on something for next year you'll get some footage that'll have a home on COL 6

I believe thats 2bags . If you join the Soton-firespining forum, you can down load a vid called Another Eezy Sunday Part 2 and see him setting up his bike and then burning it. The rest of the video is good too, so its worth the download.

I did filming with my friend David one day months and months and months ago, completely forgot about the project, and got an email from him today saying we are in COL5. I didn't even know he submitted!

I just want to know why I might have not been concidered in the COL5 Flick? I know Im good enough, fire dancing for over 6 years now. I was one of the first fire folks on this sight, and told hundreds of fire folks about it over the years. I know a few of the dancers on the list, and taught them some moves allong the way.. I want to know why I am not on the list!!!!! I am Livid, But trying to Keep my Cool! Was it to long? If so cut out a few parts I don't have to do my Double and Single Staff Routeen, Or just cut out my Poi... I don't under stand? Please PM me and tell me what is UP!!

There's a time limit for the final video, so some entrants can't go on.
I'm sure it's a difficult task to have to choose who makes it on and who doesn't, and I think most of the people who enter greatly appreciate the fact that Malcolm runs the COL competition, whether they make it onto the vid or not.
Good as you are, I'm sure that the vast majority of entrants were also very skilled, and that some of those very skilled entrants also had to be eliminated due to time constraints.
