Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the

"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.

Today I mothered learning 441.

I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.

Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.

Otherwise its just favouritism really....

mills mess above the head is starting to become comfy biggrin wooot

getting about 2 or 3 cycles of 4ball mills

12 catches with 5 balls lol. and i seem to have straightened out my problem with throwing up instead of across, now i just stuff up coz a ball will brush my fingers then hit the floor... i think (read: KNOW) i need glasses.

i got about 7 or 8 catches of 3 clubs above my head then got hit in the face and decided that this is something i will leave for a while... maybe for when i can actually do more than a simple cascade with clubs lol
spank

i love trying to learn 10 different things at once biggrin

possibly but i doubt it.

plus, i don't what robot you are talking about nor what you would like the java sequence to do... confused

i had a think about why i was dropping my 5b cascade.

i worked out what it was in about three seconds as it was invariably the same mistake every time.

and now that i actively think about not doing it, my average run has gone from about 30 catches up to abround 80-90 catches.

i did 5 ball endurance for a good while and got a best of 210 catches to a clean finish (not counting the first three catches which was 744 from my left hand) biggrin

also got 9 throws and 5 catches(!) of 7 (big) balls.

will - 5b mills ubblove

befor yesterday, my understanding of it was "i either get collisions or i just drop".

the 'just dropping' thing is down to concentration - i do it when i'm thinking lots about the other bits of a pattern and i just forget to close my hand rolleyes
like i said before; i'm just crap at catching wink

the key was watching my collisions.
i got past the 'collision heavy pattern' stage of 5 balls *ages* ago but of late, just about every time my run ended, it was due to a collision.
i suddenly realised that it was the same collision every time - a low throw from my left hand getting hit by a right hand ball on its way up - before i have a chance to recover, everything has gone tits up.

so i spent 30 minutes juggling a cascade and thinking mainly about making sure my left hand throws didn't droop as i got further into a run.

and got 6 runs of 100 catches!
in a row!!!

took me a good few goes to crack my target of 200 catches but i got it easily within an hour - i think psycological barriers were a big hurdle there.

still lack the arm power to juggle 5 and do tricks for any time at all but that will get there and as it is, i'm really happy with my progress yesterday smile

if only i could find a solid hour and a half like that to juggle in every day... ubblove

git wink

can you show me the colours variation when you take a ball from one side, and drop it over the other to give a convayor belt effect of balls?

and i wanted the java script to show me how to do it!

ubblol i still don't know what you want dude!

oooh! yes i do - just worked it out (colours should be 'columns' right? biggrin).

jugglelab is opensource so if you want full java code, just go to the main website and it'll direct you to the main code.

apart from that, if you want either this page or this one.

nope - i decided a long, long time ago in a galaxy near you...not to go for eight. Would rather get 7 going well than worry about 8 - what's the point, it's pretty hard to do tricks with eight...

But yes, i did flash 8 last week. I'm just not going to spend very long on trying to get it, I'd say about 5mins a month at best.

How is your 8 going, flashing 9 regularly yet?

wicked night at spitz last night biggrin

531 with the 3 behind the head is coming along - caught it a few times more last night.

weird 5bt mills what dsads showed me makes sense now too.

did a bit of 5b stealing with the north (whole pattern): facing taking all the balls at once and at the side taking one side of the pattern away.
need to learn the 'step in front' thing next smile

and as for those numbers what tell you where the balls go: 645 was making *loads* more sense last night and 741 and 711 are both starting to sit up there for a few cycles (left hand is finally learning to throw upwards and not away).

random siteswap observation of the day is: one round of 753 is easier than 744 or 645.

i reckon so.
if you can do 7531 (which i can) 753 feels like an easier version (with a harder base pattern).
tis comparable in difficulty (for me anyway) to 7531 out of and back into 5551.

as for 711:
out of a cascade, you need to throw a 5 first smile

i've been trying 73 a bit but i still find it really hard confused

it is indeed!

but i can already do that one (in fact, you yourself taught me it in your own living room dear boy) smile

i can just about do the cheat version too, where you float all the throws from one hand over the top of the cascade, like with tennis (when my tennis gets more solid, so will this i guess).

73 just seems easier to transition into from a cascade and, more importantly, is completely async.

i could try 75 instead but i am simply not worthy wink

indeed i did.

i think i've got 73, but it slips back towards 6x4x when i'm getting tired.

pity i'm ruining a good siteswap by posting the 712th reply.

worked out 5511 yesterday, as well as 5551 and 55550 from 4 ball fountain, which was nice, getting started of (2x,6x)(6x,2x), something tells me it may take some time:-)

there is a breakdown of how the machine can be expressed as a siteswap over HERE... ubbangel

4b above the head is badass - i'm working on that myself at the moment smile
