Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the

"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.

Today I mothered learning 441.

I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.

Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.

Otherwise its just favouritism really....

It's definitely (6,4)(2,4)(4,6)(4,2), there's no crossing throws. The simulation looks boring, but it feels nice to juggle I reckon. Like a slower, fewer balled (6x,4)(4,6x). Should be fairly easy for you to run. smile

my 4b fountain is now pretty solid, bout 50+ catches. 1 run of 4b mills before getting all excited that it was working then dropping them all.

5b flashes are getting better and when actually trying to juggle 5 i'm getting about 4 catches, loooong way to go but i only started attempting 5 tonight so not too bad methinks smile

also 3 club mills is nearly there, i have been neglecting my clubs of late as my room is teeny and its damn cold outside!

5 ball rubenstiens, by stacking both the swirly rubensteins balls.

Does that count as five ball rubensteins or is it just a girly cop-out?

Yeah, I thought as much. It'll still impress non-jugglers though.

Hell, a cascade will impress non-jugglers!

I don't tend to have dreams about juggling. I only dream about tricking. Weird. ubbrollsmile

Is takeouts the same as Burkes barrage?

If so, I can do 4 ball burkes. tongue

4bmills mess annoys me, one day I can run it solid, the next I cannot get 20 catches. Awkward...

I'm learning to juggle three balls at the moment, thanks to Mr Lemonkey...

So far I can manage:

3b:

Half shower
'tennis' or whatever it's called,
Columns
Plus adding in all the chest rolls, armrolls, head/cradle catches that I could already do...

Up to six ball or six ring passing

I got a long way to go yet... biggrin

Currently not really working on anything new, but a mate showed me a couple of little things which are good for learning control so I'm practising those, and also trying to get my throws much more consistent.

I just learnt three ball romeo's revenge... well i think I did. I can't seem to find any videos on the internet of it that actually work. Could someone please give me a link.

Also I managed yesterday to do 74 catches of 5 ball, but I have to wait a couple of days before i try 5 ball again or i cant juggle it at all. I havent got a clue why.

Then again, I do have too much time on my hands being a thirteen year old.

Thanks Lemonky.

Im definately not juggling any of those patterns. Mine doesnt look anything like a rubensteins revenge, which those patterns do. I'm confused. I learnt it from Charlie Dancey's Encyclopaedia of Ball juggling, the edition where romeo's revenge was first added. Could you help me work out whats wrong!?

Edit: I want to get it right for tomorrow, im going to a convention in notts. I wasnt sure if a thirteen year old doing 4b mills mess would be impressive enough.

no i think people will be impressed by that. I also think people don't really care too much what level others are at conventions, the imporant thing is that you attend and are smile Did anyone else see that kid at Bristol doing 5 during the break in the show? He rocked!

I havent been yet hexagonic; its between 2 and 10 at notts university, and im going at three.

Also, back on the topic of romeos revenge, is it meant to look like a chop to the right before throwing from the chop in claw, then chopping on the right again and doing a little flourishy thing similar to burkes barrage, then you repeat it on the other side? I've got an hour to find out! The thing that I listed above ive got solid, well over 100 catches. Not bad to say I learnt it yesterday. But is it even right!?

Edit: did the pattern I just desribed make sense to anyone?

EditEdit: does anyone know wher i can find a video for a shower explosions?

I saw that kid at bristol doing 5, he was awesome! his mate could do four and they were passing clubs at one point. He was about 6 but it was quite gratifying that he came up to me and asked me to show him some 3b tricks coz he didnt know many biggrin bless!

once again lemonkey comes to the rescue! thanks!
shower explosions look really hard, but I'll have a go.
The convention was really good; i got to meet ben beever (is that how you spell his name?) and their were loads of people juggling five and were willing to give me tips! I was more consistent though, getting 40 catches on almost every try!
Nobody knew if the Romeos Revenge I was doing was right. They said they'd heard of it, but nobody I asked knew how to do it. Therefore, they thought it was 'insane'. Not bad for a days juggling, but my arms kill (i guess thats what you get for juggling 5 balls two hours straight!)
