Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the

"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.

Today I mothered learning 441.

I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.

Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.

Otherwise its just favouritism really....

8 catches of 4 club flats. smile
2 continuous chin rolls! I'd love to get this solid, it looks brilliant. Shall be trying 53 with a chinroll in a week or two. smile

I got so close to running that (12catches at most.)
You have to consetrate on the balance and not the juggling. What ever you do keep the balance, even when you drop the ones your juggling.

Now me of to get fatter with xmas lunch

Thanks for the advice. Made no progress though.

4 club flats is great. I managed to get 4 in a row, do you do it on fountains or columns?

And with the 53 chinroll business, are you doing it on a double-single? I tried making the single into a back cross recently, but to little avail. I reckon it's quite possible though...

I find 4c flats easier in a fountain personally, but I know there's some good jugglers out there who prefer columns. experiment to see which is comfortable for you.

Triple single for the 53 chinroll should be easier initially. I have a feeling the slightly staggered pattern for double single would be too hectic. As for backcrosses in said pattern, good luck!

Lemonkey, chin rolls sounds tricky with great big triples flyin about, but good luck indeedy. I saw one good juggler do 4c flats, then do a 7531 then back into flats. On a video mind you...

Weeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllllllll smile

Good stuff mate. When you coming back to UK eh? I'm not there, but I will be later. I juggled some 8 clubs with someone recently, so come back to UK and I'll 'do it' with you (hehehe)

Also, how many throws can you make of 5 clubs? Do you ever practice it in triples, and generally how is it possible? I been practicing it nearly every day and can't get past about 15 throws. It might make my head fall off. smile

I cracked 5 clubs from working with 4 consistently in NZ last year...if you can do 53 on double/singles it really helps. If you can get the double throw consistent in 53 for about a minute, and do this with both sides so that your left hand can do it like your right, 5 clubs becomes much easier. Same with triples - learn triple singles on both sides, and you're halfway towards getting a triple 5club cascade. Not sure what my best with 5 is, but prob between 15 and 20 seconds smile

Hey, did you see my video? If not here is the link
https://www.spherculism.net/localserverforftp/will1.mov

It has me and a mate in Melbourne passing nine. Not for long, but it's there. Not sure when I'm back in the UK, unlikely to be for at least six months or so at the earliest.

It does sound tricky with a triple, but making it nice and lofty should allow plenty of time for a chinroll. smile I've seen somebody run it before (video). Looks good.

I think the juggler doing a 7531 from flats was Brett Sheets. His flat work is lovely.

Come on mate I need you back here sooner than that. I have found some one here that I can pass 9 with and it would be nice to have a go at some high number stuff with 3people(he is so good at 5clubs its not real).

I have not been working on any 5club stuff for such a long time. Just 5-7balls and 4club stuff. going to be working on shows with my wife for the next year so I think that I am not going to be getting much better in high number stuff for a long time to come.
But I am still trying to run high low 5b shower got 6 high throws last night, and working on lots of bx stuff with balls and clubs.
next will be passing, got to work on some stylish 5club patterns.

Yeah man. I started with some 8 club practice the other day, but no-one else her to pass with now frown

Havn't seen the video yet, cos net cafes and downloading, but sounds good.
But, lots of 5 club practice, I got more than 20 throws just after I wrote that last post, so all good. I tried the 53 double single LH but the patern feels so weird leading with my left that I didn't get far. Will try more though...

Rock on n keep jugglin' chaps smile

Also managed a chinroll in a triple single. smile (as in 444453(cr)4444, not from the 53 pattern, that'd be too hard. tongue

yes it is valid and yes it's like a snake but with a 1 and then a 2. I got it right away with a few different 2's, and it's good practise for 5 clubs (well, in theory).
