an accurate 3d representation of hurricane jeanne as seen from orbit.

jeanne is the one that killed 1000 people in haiti earlier this week.

scariest thing i've seen in a while frown

We just moved to Florida from Texas, cant wait to go to Delaware, but i think the hurricanes can get us up there too. I want to go back to TEXAS!!! We want to end up in Austin anyway. But we have had a threat of a hurricane about every other week since we arrived. Luckily we live in north Tampa and there hasnt been any real serious threat here. Keepin my fingers crossed that it stays that way til we move. Oh yeah, Ivan took out part of I-10(highway) that takes me back to Texas so i have to take a different route to get back!!! GRRRR!! censored

that is pretty damn big. should lose some energy when it hits the land though, cos the water supplies a lot of the driving force behind the wind.

yeah, but that's the problem though!

'lose some energy when it hits the land' equates to 'rips seven kinds of sh!t out of the first place it gets to'.

its about 300 miles across apparently...

rarr - i stole it from another forum.

the person that posted it there got it from an email they were sent - not sure who actually rendered it but apparently the email said they used a combination of sattelite images and radar to construct it.
