oh- also not very smooth and continuous spinning either, but it is just footage from a couple of practice sessions i decided to record on impulse seeing as i borrowed letti's video camera and had it around...
in fact, its just a bit of silliness with some spinning.
oh, and my cat, khai.
he's the greatest cat in the world! mwahahahahaaa!!!!

Very nice video Ben. Your doubles contact is awesome. There are definately a lot of IDEAS being expressed that I, for one, will learn from. Thank you for posting this and thanks to whoever is hosting it hug

Awesome stuff man, really amazing double staff contact. The 'cross' contact was great, I was thinking in my head "that would be awesome if he held one and cradled the other", and sure enough you went and did that like the rockstar you are.

hehe, cheers people biggrin
as i said, its more a vid of ideas for other better spinners to perfect and let me sit back and watch them (hint hint psi&bluecat!) than "oooh look at me i can do this", cos quite frankly none of the moves are smooth or nicely in planes, but there we go, thats my tuppence!

It's good vid. I enjoyed it. It gave me visions and three stick spinning with two in hands and one being transfered between hideously difficult contact moves. It was a good vision.

You pretending to eat the cat was perhaps a bit too realistic though.

I spunked in my friend's aquarium and the fish ate it. I love all fish. Especially the pink ones. They are my bitches. - Anon.

Yes mate! Some nice stuff in there, particularly the parallell contact and the cross work... Keep it up!

And I feel sorry for your cat, too...

brought on by the mention of stealing moves in the other thread on vid's changeing...
This really should have gone in the vid as well but didn't so here goes...

I copy no one's routines as i'm sure others can verify...
however:
I would like to thank 3 people for the inspiration for the vid-
Mr Bluecat -who taught me some my first ever contact moves inspired me to make my long doubles in the first place and inspires me at every convention i meet him at wink
Psi -who i've been spinning with for the last year and half and has stopped me from converting to the dark side of the doubles- ickle staffs - by keeping me inspired by his latest party tricks! wave
and of course
T&B -hehe, would have been hard not to learn from my flatmate for the last 3 years who introduced me to staff in the first place beerchug
my "style" is a mixture of everything and everyone i've ever seen so my thanks to them too...
cheers guys...

grrr. T&B- dont you dare touch mr psi!!!

psi- don't do it man... focus on the light side of the staff...

nooooo....

hmmm. grumble.

on another note, met another double staffy person in madrid! yay!

now know a whole five double staffy spanish people!

and another tune...

still haven't managed to get the second bit of footage off dani yet, so our vid will take a while to come. Have also got some great footage of madrid fantasticness- think it must be over 50 drummers (probably a lot more) sitting around the colonnade all playing together... personalised unique soundtrack!

also might be heading ze bristol way sometime in november! yay!

yay! yay! yay!

loadsa hugs to all

Ben

PD my cat does loads of useful stuff- sleeps for me when i can't, eats for me when i don't and sits there looking beautiful, and err, sniffing around and stuff, not sure what thats for... biggrin

ta! lots of interesting ideas - ive been experimenting with similar ideas for a couple of months...though from a different direction from my own - ive been playing with double contact in vert plane usually from shoulder-neckback entry rather that your wrist-halo entry.

still lots of tasty thoughts!

thanx! hug
