I'm beginning to think I have way too much free time sis, as i've been on here for an average of atleast 6/7 hours a day for the past 2.5 weeks........... GEEK!!!

I have to say that has never happened to me though. Ask Mr.Malcom. He has all the answers.

Cass, how are you posting stuff, but it doesn't say you are online in the bar at the top of the screen?? Me confused...

Can miles truly separate us from friends? If we want to be with someone we love aren't we already there? If there is someone willing to show, and there is someone willing to see; magic happens. This is whem humans are alive. This is when the wingless fly.

is that a weapon in counter strike or something?

I have no clue what the hell that means, we dont use a weapon with those initials. If it is a counterstrike weapon, it is not a real name, if they use the real name of the weapon they would have to pay royalties to the company that owns the patent.

My bro's SLR loads APS cartridges of 36mm. each cartridge holds 25, and you don't need to chamber the first one either. It does not work by gas blowback though. You do get to see alot o people using them in the news. You know what they say, the only proper way to keep a duck forever is to use a SLR.

umm I know with all small arms you must chaimber a round, it is physically impossible to fire a weapon without a round inside the chaimber. It is part of the cycle of opperation. Now different weapons might have different cycles of operation, I do not know anything about an SLR but I am pretty sure that it has a chaimber, in fact I can not think of a weapon that can hold multiple rounds that doesnt have a chaimber. With the exception of some shot guns.

The SLR bender is covertly refering to is a type of camera, the SLR bit means that when you look through the view finder (by the magical use of tiny mirrors) you actually look straight out of the same hole that the photo is taken through (kind of like the idea behind the periscope) and therefore what-you-see-is-what-you-get. When the photo is taken the mirror flips up out of the way of the light on the back of the shutter meaning that you can't see anything while taking the photo.

I can only guess that if the same idea was used for a gun you would therefore be looking out of the barrel rather than along it. ie what-you-see-is-what-you-shoot.. just some thoughts cos I don't know anything about guns..

The only problem with that Tom, is that in with any gas opperated weapon (a weapon that uses the gasses created during the explosion behind the round) you must have an air tight seal. If there isnt, bad ju ju. Also the only reason you would really use something like this would be because you were a sniper, in that case if you did that, the split second that you lost your target it would move and wouldnt be in the sights and you would miss.

AFAIK, an SLR is a Self Loading Rifle... could be way off the mark though (pun intended)

And Cass, hey girly!! I'm a bit jealous of the amount of time you can spend on HOP! This time last year I was spending all work day online and cruising the HOP forums, but now I have a new job where I actually have to do work. bummer!
