Posted:Hello Everyone!
I have been building a website for my fire troupe "Cyberfire" and I have finally updated and put it on the web smile
It was kind of up before, but had only 4 pages and was very dull, now it has pretty pictures of us twirling and yummy things like that.
This is my first attempt at a web site, so please check it out and let me know what you think biggrin

Posted:nice looking site, good job on it, your troup looks verry strong, and creative

You can't avoid pain by fencing yourself from it.
Some times you need the help of others more than anything else
But you have to let them close enough to help......
People want to be needed, I found that out too

Posted:Thanks guys smile Glad you like it all. It is the first web site I have made and I am still getting my head around the programs! I have added more pics today so there should be another 2-3 gallery pages from last nights show. There are some slightly more comic pictures too where I am dressed as a fire clown biggrin

Posted:Jona- include the audience as much as possible, talk to them, dress brightly so everyone knows you are performing and not just playing around, and when you get kids out, try to make them feel that they are doing an amazing job of whatever it is, even if all they are doing is passing you a glass of water to balance on your head while spinning...or what ever...
let the audience know that this is the way you earn your living and don't be afraid to ask them to donate to your kerosene addiction!
when twirling around others(ie into their space), talk to them while you do it to let them know every little thing you are going to do, and reassure them that you know what you are doing. tell them to STAND STILL!!!
hmmm, just whenever you get the opportunity, watch other street performers and see what they do, learn from them.

Posted:site looks good - especially for a first timer!

one critique / taste issue. I think its good if possible for the user to be able to see all the nav links on one screen without scrolling. I found I had to scroll a bit and I reckon you could tighten up the nav item spacing to fix that if you felt like it.

Some of your photos could do with a bit of 'levels' treatment in photoshop to reduce the 'whiteness' of them some looked a bit over exposed.

Nothing says more in this art than video - get a promo happening! even just a short clip of a recent performance is a lot better than nothing.

Looking forward to meeting you at EC smile

Posted:Hiya everyone,
sad news as far as Cyberfire is concerned... The founder of the troupe just had a major stress out and disbanded... She didn't just leave the troupe, she disbanded it! oh well. I have taken down the work I did on the site and reverted it to her origional 4 pages... sorry folks, no more pics.

However the remaining members and a few wonderful circus people are forming a new Fire circus, so as soon as that site is up, I will let you know, this site is no longer my responsibility,
happy twirling to you all
