Posted: ok, here is something I often want to do given the fact that my digital camera can take .mov files - I want to take movies using the potrait direction (ie vertical), but would then need to rotate the movies so that when they show on a computer screen they aren't sideways. now it is trivial to do this with a .jpg or any other still picture, and it should be possible to rotate movies since they are frames of stills.
Before I go trying to write a program myself and do all the figuring out of how things are arranged in .mov files, does anyone know of a preexisting utility?
short of that, and hints on how .mov files are laid out?

Posted: I would like to know the answer too. The techies around here don't know how to fix that - I asked them a similar question months ago.
