I'm planning on going to Ottery St Mary this bonfire night to see the flaming tar barrels and giant bonfire. I know someone on this board and their friends are intending to go and do a bit of spinning too. I'm assuming it will be on friday 5th november, but their website doesn't seem to have been updated in a while (www.tarbarrels.co.uk)
i've been once before and it was great fun. I think it would be good to have some spinners there this year.
Does anyone else intend to go? hopefully this thread can be used to make plans......

I'll be there.
Only advice i can give is dont chuck bangers in the burning barrels. the meat heads carrying the barrels dont find it funny.

I'll be there! Went a few years back, was a great night. Mind you, I'll probably be a little on the less than sober side. Please don't let me touch any poi you might have!!

well i had fun there. i saw some people with fire poi in the grounds of a church (i think it was a church) near a pub (the church had a big wall all around it) and i also saw someone spinning glowing things near the big bonfire later on at night when it had died down a lot and some people were running through the embers. none of them tripped over into the glowing embers which is fortunate because i might not have been able to stop myself from laughing at their stupidity.

Had a great time! I was really drunk and not spinning tho. Got some good video footage of people charging straight at me with huge flaming barrels
