My friend is just starting to learn fire poi in Halifax Nova Scotia and can't find Paraffin. any help would be appreciated. she should sign up here soon too.

Your first bet would to start looking for Kerosene...or better yet Lamp Oil. Check out Canadian Tire, Home Hardware and Wallmart. It would be in the camping area, and usually right along side the Colemans.

There hasn't been a trip to any of the three mentioned stores where they didn't have lamp oil, in one form or another...

Hate to be a lazy sod, but... How much does it cost? Nearest wal-mart is a 45 min bike ride.
