So I was spinning around some poi last night and this move just happened. It worked really well and i cant wait to get my meteors because it works one handed too. But i dont know what its called.
So your doing a three beat weave (two handed).
On the left hand side, extend the left hand out straight and let the poio in your right hand wrao you forearm near your elbow once. As it reaches the top of the upward spin you bring your now left elbow across in front of you face to the other side of your body (like your punching something close to your face). You now reversed the poi so it unwraps by itself. just follow the normal weave pattern with other poi. After unwrapping do one beat and now wrap the right arm. Its really smooth once clean.

sometimes called thru wraps or european wraps by americans who learnt them in europe.

Experiment with them. Do them on legs, your neck... my favorite is doing a butterfly, double through wrap on your leg, and kick your leg behind you to unwrap. yummy!
