If you had read the forums on the site that it is kindly hosted on you would have read that the site has just had 90 hours of re-development put into it... code through content.
they are also waiting on a new server with more space, but they are a bit skint from giving away so much bandwidth for free, so currently for this week they have removed all the videos while they try and find a new server big enough for 600+mb of videos that they kindly give away for free, if this isnt a suitable request then they should give up right now.
you could have just asked on the forums there as it is their video.

update:

workshop: Contrtact signed.
Funding: Arrived [hense the workshop being agree'd on]
Prototype: v2 finished v3 on its way... will take the piss out of any thing else on the market, not liek they dont anyway. staff is in prototype stages and maybe assembled soonish for testing.
website is finished but not online yet, i will release it when jo gives me the ok to do so.

Ok so all of the hard work is done so far and its took much work to get this far.
Prices: Jo has major overheads, no job, a mortgage, illuminati full time, a life in the real world and maybe he'll father my babies for making such good toys for every one. they arn't going to be cheap! these things are pretty complex, for a poi that you can drive your car over and they still work is worth paying for.. lol this has been tested by accident!.
possible launch date due to time spent trying to find funding has been postponed till early january 2005, unfortunatly.

i hope that this clears a few questions up, we will have more in a while or just check poiinthepark.net for further details.

oh jo doesnt have any net access... so pms and emails might not get answered so dont think he is being ignorant... you can contact me and i can answer questions.

right a new server has been aquired.... should take a few days for every thing to be uploaded andcatagorised on the site.

donations towards bandwidth would be greatly appreachiated... theres a donate area on the site.

Erm now videos online right now for illuminati, still yet to find some money for a new server.
Illuminati as im told is still tryinng to launch in jan 2005.
i posted the new company logo in my gallery here on hop too so if you want to take a look! feel free to comment.

any idea what the glow toys in that picture are pk?
they definitely ain't aerotechs and if they're not jo-made i'd like to know who's making them!

the photo was taken at a headcharge (26 august 2004) if that helps?

just got off the phone to jo, ok so illuminati still looks good to launch!.

Components are being manufactured, so that jo doesnt have to blow loans on machinery now and can put that money into production costs, but that is a few thousand to start with! so leaves him short still!.
They have been heavilly modified in design, to make them, brighter, stronger, more durable, more beautiful than they were before.
Circuitry is now bomb proof, militry standard circuitry through out and battery housing modified to make changes easier than they were.

prices are looking good too, V2 are looking around the 250 mark and 350 for V3's.... V3's are gonna be sweet as hell. so in relativity to a set of aerotech clubs! few and far between! for the V2's anyway!.

I know the site will most likely be up soon, but can we/I get a feature list?

Just want to know about things like the power source, additional programmability options, warranty(?), annd why purple socks never look right when I wear them. PM me if it's better, I just want to get this before asking where to send teh money wink thanks!

I looked on the site and couldn't find the video. i just got some wmv of people doing poi in a park and on a bandstand. No-glo...

Am well interested in glo-poi but they're gonna have to be very impressive indeed for me to part with £250-350. Guess I'll wait till I see 'em.

The last update on PITP stated that the illuminati illuminati lauch had been postponed indefinitely due to health reasons (i tried linking to the thread but PITP seems to be down at the mo).

So yes they're out there and yes they will arrive someday, just no-one really knows when.

I followed the link to the video, but it looks like the site has stopped posting videos, because of lack of funds (I read something to that effect on their site). Did anyone download this video before they pulled it off their site?

Thanks!

That really sucks if things have gone pear shaped frown All the stuff I'd seen suggested illuminati were pretty amazing toys. I'd love to see them running next to my HyperLights!
