The Eisenhower interstate system requires that one mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies.

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Bookkeeper is the only word in the English language with three consecutive sets of double letters.

There is enough iron in an adult male human body to make 36 standard office staples.

On a standard (meat-based) "Western Diet," food takes about three days to transit the digestive tract. On a high-fiber diet, it takes 12-16 hours.

In spite of 50 years of treatment with penicillin, neither Treponema pallidum (the causative agent of syphilis) nor Streptococcus pyogenes (the causative agent of strep throat) have ever devoped resistance to penicillins G, V, or V-K (the first penicillins ever developed). Very few other disease-causing bacteria are sensitive to penicillins alone anymore.

The most toxic substance in the world is aflatoxin-B. A millionth of a gram is enough to kill an adult. Aflatoxin-B is found in peanuts.

There's another random law that I'm trying (without any luck) to remember.

It's something about it being legal to shoot... a welshman?... in Cardiff, with a crossbow, at a certain time. And I'm sure there's something to do with a chicken. umm

I don't suppose anyone else knows what it is? confused
It's really bugging me that I can't remember it.

I wonder if I can find it anywhere...
