*edit*

so i reckon this thread will hold a record of the new things and stuff im learning along the way, all input of any kind is welcome...

*edit*

*where was I? oh yeah here, The elbow, arm, arm elbow roll*

Its simple really, I cant do it.

I've seen some real nice clips of this move (Thankyou MCP/Glass) but I still seem to be missing somthing fundamental.

So I take the staff in my right hand, bring it accross my body under my extended left elbow and roll. extend left arm and let staff roll onto right arm. Bring staff back towards body on right arm

Now here is the problem, it just stops working there, I think i might be missing an extra beat/spin or something. Or it it could be the position of my wrist. Dont ask me what my wrist is doin, it goes all wonky in a natural reaction to the feeling of the staff falling off when i start bending my right arm on the way back in,

Any ideas?

If I can get this I'll move onto to trying to combine it with a shoulder rool and a turn to get it across my back and other shoulder.

I'm hoping to put up a clip soon, not of what i cant do but of what I can, after six months it's be cool to get some HOP feedback.

Love is the law.

exams are pointless. I can't be bothered with uni anymore. Its only after things are finished that I stop and think about them, and I can honestly say more than half the work I've done this year, I could have done in first year. So it'll be the first year style of exam revision, start date: two days before exam.

just starting to try this, kinda easy depending on how flexy u r. looks hell cool though.
dont know the name but its just a normal single plane spin starting in front but then bending it so it go's around ure body, but bending ure body to stay infront of it and keeping your arms straight. kinda hard to make out, but like when its behind you you should have an arched back so that your looking over the top behind you as your spinning it. really hard to keep balance. hope you can piture this. havent quite got it yet but im getting there.

i think i see what you been.

so if it was behind you, and your arched backwackwards, your hands would be over or along side your head?

you rotate your body 360 from this position and keep the stick spinning in a static position?

yep thats it, hands are over my head when im arched backwards.
my body stays facing the same way, thats the flexibility part.

Its pretty bendy stuff alright, my lower back kills me when i try stuff like that. keeping my pelvis tuck in seems to help alot.

so the staff and your body are always on the same side, but because your rotating your body it changes from front to back. Arms always extended.

so now what? theres gotta be more fun stuff you can do with bendiness smile

hehe yeah im figuring out stuff atm, pretty much what ever i think up i think hmmmm that might work, most of time i hurt myself.

i dont actually bend my back as much as you think, i stand right on the edges of my toes and get as low as i can before hittin the ground, cant do it without shoes though...

well throw up with right hand for 3 mid air spins so that the left can come in fron then go back in time for the right hand to catch it in rythme
