the first japanies site has some gd simple 1 diabolo tricks on it.
I know its hard learning from videos but persevere there always worth learning. I think its the designers way of weeding out the undedicated. They just dont explain them at all.

Posted: You know... I never liked fire Diabolos.
What a lot of people don't understand - is that a fire diabolo is hot. Which of course everyone goes "well duh, its made of metal, and its on fire" - but its just a pain when you drop it and have to put back on the string without looking like an idiot. Especially if your use to doing it in some snazzy fashion involving your hands.
But the main thing I didn't like about them was the waste of fuel.
Not only they do burn for an incredibly short amount of time - but the audience only see one side of the diabolo. You have to fuel both sides to balance the weight of the two cups - which is a complete waste, as the audience only see the cup facing them.
Plus, they are very unwieldable and seem to cut your skill level in half. Which is irritating when you are trying to perform madder pranay-style tricks.
I suppose there are ways around this, such as adding weights to one cup etc. But at the end of the day; it is just too much hassle for my liking. Doing diabolo is meant to be fun, and when you do fire diabolo it is no longer fun - it is a chore.
For fire, use a staff or poi!!! IMO anyway.
Diabolos are a sunny-day thing I think.
