Sock poi in the living room; broke the last lightbulb in the ceiling light. (there were 3 when i moved in, but they've been dying one by one). Luckily for me as they were so dim anyway, I've been using freestanding floor lights which are brighter.

So what has anyone else broken? biggrin

Not only did the light bulb go, but the shade covering it and the cover connecting it the the ceiling, Only 2 wires hanging down now.
Luckly it's in the spare bedroom so not much of a problem.

In my nunchuck phase whilst living in a small room I took out about twenty bulbs in a couple of months.

I'd start off ultra aware of the bulb, then gradually get deeper into the flow of the moves till there's be an explosion and everything went black.

When I moved into my new flat I was mainly doing poi, which tends not to break the bulb but makes it dodgy- it either goes brighter or dimmer.

My solution was to get some card, push the flex up and staple gun the card over so the bulb is as high to the ceiling as it can go.

Impacts are very rare now.

To this day though, I always buy my bulbs in six packs and ensure that I've always got half a dozen in the house.

2 of the 3 lights are out of my ceiling fan.. the fan is off balance now and makes "nock nock nock nock nock" noises on any setting higher than low . Yeah I also have about 6 extra light bulbs around just in case. My land lord is going to be angry when he sees that the fan is off balance =) Im just thinking about removing it all together...

i won't even begin to think about the amount of lightbulbs i've broken, but like OWD, i now buy in bulk, so i've always plenty of spares

when i first started poi, the lampshade was blasted into smithereens within a week. i replaced it with a paper shade, which needless to say lasted no time at all.

i now have a disco ball in the middle of the ceiling. i usually practice indoors with my tennis balls, so they don't do too much damage to it, but every time i take out the electro-glos i'm losing more and more of the little mirrors frown

i've broken some of my eggs (don't ask), glasses, cups, plants, a mirror (don't believe in that 7 years bad luck malarky) one of the hands from one of my statuettes of the Argonath from Lord of the Rings frown, i've cracked the glass in a fairly pricey lead & glass table lamp, hmmm..... anything else......?

and of course there are the countless numbers of marks & dents in the ceiling from when i try straight arm moves......

all of the furniture is constantly pushed over to one side of the room

but you know what...... i wouldn't have it any other way biggrin

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely smile

i hit my cat pretty hard one time, he kinda snarled, but i didnt break anything(i dont think)

hmm...

Having just spread tiny little bits of glass all over my floor I thought I'd add to this thread.

Also don't practice poi when there's a glass of red wine by your bed..

Or a ashtray nearby.

Or you by a plasma screen TV (I haven't but I'd be scared to cause of this. Normal TV take poi quite well)

Or practice throws in the fron room while the windows is open.

Or when your mates little girl is runnig around. Cost me an Ice cream but then she kept trying to run into my poi to get more ice creams! Kids!

Ah Poi stupidity. I'll learn one day!
