Hi there Nova! And welcome! wave
I'm very glad you enjoy doing poi! Australia is really THE county to get infected with the poi-virus!

And you're right in tme too! Since spring is in the air (still legging a bit in Holland though) the meets will get more frequent. I say, join up sometime so we can all get to know you! You;ll see it's fun!

Is there a meet in amsterdam as well? Me & my daughter will be selling some toys & ou(d)fits in the vondelpark, afterwards walking about... Not really possible for me to go to the meet in Rotterdam. Anywayz, meet or no meet, I'll find a spot to swing & sway & spin. Cheerio weavesmiley

@Lupo: there aren't regular spinning spots in utrecht. but we can always plan a meet!

The park with the strandstoelen would be nice for next week. Guess it's called the wilhelmina-park (near the Schouwburg)..

So peepz, how bout welcoming Lupo on Wednesday?? Or at least a sunny day this upcoming week...

Anyone??

I'm in on Wednesday!

Can anyone tell me how to get to that park and if I can park my car anywhere around? If not, please let me know how to get there by bus from CS please.

Love, Intala

I can't tell you anything useful about the parking, but weatherforecasts say it will be 20 to 24 degrees Celcius and that there's a 20% chance to rain.

Lucas, it's not really that nice here yet (though that could completely change in the course of a few days), I'd bring some warmer clothes just in case: I was wearing my winter coat when we went out for Queensnight yesterday and I was still a bit cold!

Intala, I'd look up how to get there on a routeplanner if I were you, far easier than anyone trying to explain! The street is called lepelenburg as well so it's easy enough to find. There's a little car park right next to it and there's usually space there. If you decide to come by public transport, take bus 3 or 4 in the direction of the Fockema Andrealaan (be sure not to take the other bus 3 or 4, you'll end up on the other side of town!) and get out at the Schouwburg. Standing with your back to the Schouwburg, follow the path on the right side of the canal, and after a little while you'll get to the park. Really it's just a big field, most recognisable feature is a red bandstand.

I haven't actually checked with Mot because he's trying very hard to go back to sleep at the moment smile but I'm pretty sure we'll both be there, especially if the weather's as good as predicted!

Do we want to start in the afternoon? Then 14:00 seems a good idea.
If we want to go at night, I would say: 19:00

I probably be there too this wednesday. Provdided it doesn't rain.
At the moment it's only about 8 degrees Celcius over here... frown
The predictions for wednesday are much better though, with 18 degrees and only occasional some rain. But still, I would bring the jacket. smile

I say we meet in front of the Burger King on Utrecht Central Station @ 14:00h and walk to the park.

For everyone who is later and doesn't know where the park is: from Utrecht Central Station, walk in the direction of the Schouwburg (walk through Catherijne and exit past the V&D, then take a left, and at the Bijenkorf go right). When you reached the Schouwburg, go right (so in the opposite direction of the Schouwburg). Follow that path and somewhere in the distance you'll see some sort of Circus-tent-thingie. There it is!

So. Time to spin!

*edit* just checked KNMI site and appears that next wednesday is the least sunny day of the next week. But the weatherforecast seems to be very fluctuating so I hope there's enough sunshine!!
