Hello, hello and welcome to the thread for all Irish fire dancers, spinners, object manipulators, drummers, musicians and anyone else interested in these arts in Ireland.

This thread was started nearly a couple of years ago now... and it's since grown to include more people, gatherings, events, fun and games than we had thought possible.

And it's still growing - so if you're new to the arts, or want to meet up with any of us, please post at the end of this thread to introduce yourself... or send me a PM with your email address and I'll add your name to our mailing list.

There are spinners, dancers and manipulators all over the country, and you'll find lots of them on here... don't be shy, we're nice biggrin

So welcome, and hope to see you soon hug

Hey, went to Tara last night and it was brilliant. There where only like 8 or 9 people doing poi, juggling, staff etc, but there was a huge crowd of drummers, pagans, druids etc. A few people I was with put on a brilliant fire show, first time I ever saw fire breathing in real life eek it was really cool and all the pagans etc loved it. I got some of it on film but I don't know how it worked out, I have to check it when I get home. I was talking to some people and they said it would probably be over by the weekend. Is anyone planning on heading down at the weekend?

I'm not sure what fire breathing is about but it looked pretty proper to me, they where blowing out flames about 10 feet or more, it looked wicked cool in the dark.

Are you in and the Galway folk in Dublin this weekend then?

Heads up for upcoming must sees in Dubin...

A lot of these require advance tickets. From what I know they're free, just have to pre-order them...
check it out!

Let's drum up some enthusiasm so this doesn't go the way of COL entries.... smile

Went and saw an amazing Circus show last night in Cork, the No Fit State Circus.
wow
Really well done, was pleasantly surpised to find that that the audience had to stand and be herded around mixed up with the performers.

Anyway it was class and I think everyone should see it ubbrollsmile

Oh and EJC TWO WEEKS and a little bit!!!

Just to remind people that "Trinity Juggling" is now in Merrion Square near the playground for the summer (that's Tuesdays from 7-9:30pm ), or until the end of July anyway when hopefully the security guards and higher up folk who started giving hassle will have forgotten all about it. In general they're normally pretty good, letting us have fire shows and the like on campus, so I don't want to create problems for the future.
