Hello, hello and welcome to the thread for all Irish fire dancers, spinners, object manipulators, drummers, musicians and anyone else interested in these arts in Ireland.

This thread was started nearly a couple of years ago now... and it's since grown to include more people, gatherings, events, fun and games than we had thought possible.

And it's still growing - so if you're new to the arts, or want to meet up with any of us, please post at the end of this thread to introduce yourself... or send me a PM with your email address and I'll add your name to our mailing list.

There are spinners, dancers and manipulators all over the country, and you'll find lots of them on here... don't be shy, we're nice biggrin

So welcome, and hope to see you soon hug

Howday Guyswave!

I took up spinning staff in the summer and im totally hooked now, only so much you can learn on my own and i want to learn more, more, Morrreeeeeubblol!
Just bought one and want to get a bit better before i set myself alightubbidea.
I may have met some of you guys before, sometimes there were guys and gals doing poi at beach parties ive been at up and down the west coast surfin and i used to go to letterfrack every year with a large group of jugglers, if you ever got free choc shrooms at any of these partays it was quite possibly from me!
I also got staff lessons from an irish girl at burnin man this year but i cannot remember her name (she was called the grape that day i think???) (I was the guy cycling the dragonfly with the flower whip if you're on this forum miss grape?!?), memory is more than a little hazy from that i have no idea why.... confused2 biggrin.

Anyhoo if any of you guys are into fun and stimulated fun and are willing to give some tips to an enthuasiastic beginner or just fancy getting langered together sometime then let me know! Im based in Dublin (rathmines) mostly but spend a lot of time all along the west coast.
I have one of those intro thread thingys if you want more!

Chow for now ubbrollsmile

Id like to introduce myself. Hi. Im just back from travelling and was worrying that there would be f-all people over here spinning. How glad am I wrong. Gotta love this interwebby thing.
Basics: Based in Dublin, south side, pretty limited to movement in Dublin only until I get a new car, after I clear debts and all that could be a while.
Spinning a few months a few Irish guys thought me the basics in Oz. Dont know any of the fancy names that tricks are given here on the site so not sure what I can and cant do, Im sure someone will name them for me.
Always keen to meet up, especially now Im out of work.

Look forward to meeting some of you soon.
