Hello, hello and welcome to the thread for all Irish fire dancers, spinners, object manipulators, drummers, musicians and anyone else interested in these arts in Ireland.

This thread was started nearly a couple of years ago now... and it's since grown to include more people, gatherings, events, fun and games than we had thought possible.

And it's still growing - so if you're new to the arts, or want to meet up with any of us, please post at the end of this thread to introduce yourself... or send me a PM with your email address and I'll add your name to our mailing list.

There are spinners, dancers and manipulators all over the country, and you'll find lots of them on here... don't be shy, we're nice biggrin

So welcome, and hope to see you soon hug

But that doesn't get much of the driving out of the way Aidan.

It depends on whether my car passes today... but if it does, I plan to drive to Dublin tomorrow, pick up Lisa and then go to Cork late Friday or early Saturday.

On Sunday, I might drive back to Dublin, then back to Belfast on Monday - but tis up to Lisa really biggrin

hey strangers,

Colleen, if you wanted to do the fire thing up at Portstewart wouldn't it be better to go down the beach a bit to Strandhill and book out one of the big rooms in that really nice hostel that sits under the cliff? Then the beach is on the doorstep, we wouldn't have to kip on floors and we could have the run of the place and not worry about waking up your mum when we got back in at god knows what time of the morning. It also means once we got there no one would have to think about transport to and from the beach because it's literally a case of walking out the front door! It's dirt cheap and I love it, they're really easy going and the last ime we were down the owners came down to watch and brought us wine...... there are so many reasons to go back
whadya think?
Any other takers?

hey faberge!

So you made it in to work yesterday, I'm impressed, I broke out into a cold sweat half way through teaching a maths lesson about four o'clock in the afternoon... totally wrecked, nothing a good night's sleep won't sort out though.

I forgot the recipe for the carrot and apple muffins but I'll send it to you before the weekend.

many hugs D

Right so, we've all had an amazing weekend smile - actually the last 2 weekends for those who were at both Galway and Tara biggrin

But there isn't a summer solstice/Uk invasion/juggling convention every week...so here's a reminder of what there IS every week.

Tuesday night juggling in the Pav in Trinity is up and running - from around 7.30pm til they kick us out. Just show up - all welcome, and the more toys the better juggle weavesmiley juggle and maybe beerchug

Also, from what i hear, Sunday afternoon lazing about with occasional object manipulation is back on in Stephen's Green, by the bandstand. Again, just go, throw or swing something around, and more will materialise. Time is approximately 3pm, or whenever people make it there.

Hope to see ye all there soon hug
