Hello, hello and welcome to the thread for all Irish fire dancers, spinners, object manipulators, drummers, musicians and anyone else interested in these arts in Ireland.

This thread was started nearly a couple of years ago now... and it's since grown to include more people, gatherings, events, fun and games than we had thought possible.

And it's still growing - so if you're new to the arts, or want to meet up with any of us, please post at the end of this thread to introduce yourself... or send me a PM with your email address and I'll add your name to our mailing list.

There are spinners, dancers and manipulators all over the country, and you'll find lots of them on here... don't be shy, we're nice biggrin

So welcome, and hope to see you soon hug

Clare x

Hello everyone biggrin

Well, thanks to some subtle persuasion by Drew, I've had a rethink...

So... I'm flying to Bristol this Saturday for the start of the BJC, flying back on Thursday, then driving Lisa and myself to Galway for the party...

Is that ok? Is there space for us to stay?!

Hi everylovelyone,
little glitches in the schedule for Saturday but all is to go ahead in any case...just with small differences in music, performance space and other insignificancies, anywho, see you saturday,
and if anyone's at home in front of telly check out the crazy Ryder Cup show and watch out for all your galway pals ubblol
its ridiculously extravagant for something with such little depth...confused2...but we're in it bounce2
watch out for Aengus as a golfing god- thirty foot tall,
Mariosa inside a bubble w/poi, Anna Lee as same, Clare running around with neptune, everyone else...oh and me, with a giant tee and later as a vintage golfer arm in arm with a giant golfball head,
enjoy, we have been,
Eimhin...
p.s welcome

hi guys,
haven't found parrafin around fabby...Im afraid...and *sigh*
I may have to defer my placement in circomedia as the bank won't fund my adventure ubbcrying or should I say, my mom, who has worked in the bank for 30 yrs, reckons I can't handle such a dream and refuses to indemnify my "whims". censored
Anyways all beating round the bush and being unrealistic aside, I took a look at my options today and they were:
1.get a grant, and all will be well; lightlyhood:f**k-all
2.defer and go travelling for 6 months then work to raise the money for next year; (looks like a horse pushing a cart)
3.Use what money I have to go back to college and complete my final year, defer circomedia, and start saving.
So methinks the third is the best option if the first doesn't work out. confused2
So there's a chance the party will be the "hurray I'm not going anywhere party" nevertheless it will be a party...did I mention the party? hmmm,
well its been a bloody long day I'm off for a play at Aidans, and a pint before bed, I deserve it,
Big up to the spiiny massive clap
ciaou,
