I thought they were cursed....

They are also a useful martial arts number that combines some of the elements of a staff with that of a poi. centrifugal forces mean that the weight of the knots at either end pulls the rope taut so you can spin it like a staff. Yet you can also hold it in the middle with two hands and treat it like poi.

Could be fun

It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.
