Ok here goes....

Mother is ill, with Cancer she only has one lung, and as of last Monday only one kidney. They let her out of hospital last Sunday (very fecking early) .

She also has spotting of cancer on her liver.

Last night she was taken back into hospital

ubbcrying

We've (my dad) has been told that mum is suffering from very high potassium levels.
What does this mean confused does anyone know what this means (lightning I'm looking at you here honey )

I don't live near my parents, so I'm not able to get much more info. I'm going out of my mind here and don;t know where to look or what to do.

Please pm me if you know anything.

Thanks for listening

in answer to your question im not positive on this but ive come to understand that some methods of cancer therapies that are designed to rapidly destroy cancer cells may cause an increase in potassium levels which would in turn lower calcium levels as far as what taht can mean it can be as harmless as increased urination to as serious and a changed heart rythm sorry to hear the news and i hope this helps some

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potato's.

Im really sorry to hear that Lisa.
If I knew how to do one of those hug things, there'd be a million all over this page.
My mom was in the same sorta condition. Although they got all of the breast/cervical cancer out, she later passed away a year or 2 later from strokes. She was sick for something on 6 years, so it really was a blessing in disguise. Having a parental sick is the hardest thing ever, and Id never wish it upon anyone! Its really unfair.
I hope that you are doing well, and just know that you are in my thoughts, as Im sure everyone feels the same here juss by reading the previous post's.
much love to you an your mother and family.
I hope things turn out for the best
