All sandwhiches come from a very amazing place. They are the best food ever - and they never get boring 'cos you can keep changing and adapting. But two of the best are....

peanut butter and marmite

maple syrup and banana white bread toastie, made in a toastie maker so the maple syrup doesn't dribble out

ah yes - I am bit too excited just thinking of them...

oh and I just have to add in tomotoa, red onion, rocket and mozzerella with balsamic, black pepper and garlic

Ok I'm dribbling now....

Take a packet of bacon, and chop it into small strips.

Cook in small sauce pan, and pour off the fat.

Add half a block of stilton cheese.

Add half a packet of thawed frozen prawns that have been well drained.

Add oregano, worcestershire sauce and 1 tablespoon of english mustard for flavour.

Keep cooking till the cheese is all melted and sticking everything together.

Put in bread.

You aren't thinking or really existing unless you're willing to risk even your own sanity in the judgment of your existence.

Green peppers, lime pickle and whole-grain mustard = best sandwich filling.

I just had Waldorf salad, which was passable, a little on the dry side maybe, but plenty of nuts.

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

I had a great sandwich on Saturday, bought in a little shop in Cashel.

It had really good turkey, cheese and their own homemade potato salad in it - dribble. The potato salad was lovely, lots of flavour, good potatoes... hmmm.

Getting to the other side smile

I have to say that this is one of my most favourite topics, I am a big fan of sandwiches and depending on what sandwich I have at work generally determines my mood for the rest of the day...

I have to say I am a big fan of baguettes and there is a little sho[p just round the corner from uni that does really good ones..

I think my all time fav has to be thickly sliced honey roast deli ham (can be peppered), with Port salut cheese and thick creamy colslaw in crusty french bread

However there is a lot to be said for a chicken melt with spicy tomato sauce.

I must say that I think the american's have got it right though with there 'sub's' (not subway but the little delicatesant places), when I was travelling over there i had many massive with several different meats with all the trimmings (except for minging slices of tomato, ican't stand them) and they were almost always amazing

anyway, you may have guessed I quite like sandwiches . . .

but I must still tell you about the best sandwich I ever made....

I was going on a trip to cornwall and needed a sandwich for the journey, so bought a whole french stick..... I started one end with the ultimate ham, cheese and coleslaw , in the middle had chicken and stuffing with salad(no tomatos) and finished it off with an american meats selection, it was awesome......

Does anyone remember exactly what that one girl in the movie breakfast club put in her sandwich? I know part of it was white bread, captain crunch and pixie sticks.

That's actually all she put in it. She flung the bologna so that it stuck on a statue. I still bust a gut when I see that part. The crunch noise alone was priceless.

Oh do I enjoy a good sandwich!
Avacado, baby spinach and chicken salad with bit of celery and onion mixed in on toasted spelt bread...yummmmmm!

Liverwurst with lettuce, honey mustard and provelone on a sub roll.

Corned or Roast beef with swiss, mayo, and pepper jack cheese on kaiser rolls...toasted.

Swiss, Provelone, Monteray Jack all melted together on whole wheat and dipped in tomatoe soup.

A Western- an omlette with ham, green peppers and chopped onions served between white bread that is lightly glazed in ketchup. Yummy!

Rueben. I really love ruebens.

My favorite open faced sandwich...
Multi-grain bread- 1 slice
Mayo and ketchup
Colby cheese
Fried egg
topped with sauteed mushrooms, sweet peppers and onions
It is an all time favorite.

What I can not stand anymore....
Peanut butter and anything. I ate it sooooo much when I was little that I simply can not do it anymore, though I do try it every now and then. But when I was little it was..
Peanut Butter with (choose one)- Banana, Jelly(Jam), Fluff, Celery or Butter...yes, Peanut butter and butter, not as bad as you might think. lol

But the worst sandwich thingy I have ever had the pleasure of choking on was Vegemite. I think the look on my face gave Kombi-Guy a good chuckle when he gave it to me, and he thought I was being dramatic...but no...it is really that bad to me. I wanted to scrape off my tongue.

I'm ganna go make a sandwich now. smile

Whipped Marshmallow spread. It can be found in normal sugar white or in pink strawberry-ish flavor.
Now that I don't like it with peanut butter on a sandwich, I like to heat it up and pour it on ice cream after a sandwich! wink
