well i got to see two of the vids once, the poi and the first staff. i was at a different friend's computer finally. so sorry i can't reply in more detail. but at least i finally got to see you. i kept looking for eyes in the back of your head under that hair but didn't see any! biggrin you must be sparring a lot with sneaker-uppers. i have no doubts that you could kick my arse in under 3 seconds with a stick from behind. and then bench press me too.
critique... from memory...
sweet flow, man! you've got lots of moves tucked away under the flow, may i suggest slowing down, and embracing some more consecutive repetition? if you are interested in pushing your style more toward performance, with repetition you can spend more time presenting the movements and their individual idiosyncrasies to the audience. doing a move and slight variations on it for 3 or 4 times, and then all over with another close to it, for instance. plus it allows you to isolate the body work and the toy work, so you can merge them again once you find specific body movements for each toy movement. you seem like you could be doing even more powerful stuff with your body, crouching, jumping, but focus for much of the time on your hands and the toy. those kicks/btl passes notwithstanding! weavesmiley but all that said, you've got great control and those wraps just snuggle right in there, but the average joe wouldn't really realize just how good you are and that's a shame.

my 2 cents, not that you asked ubblol

I like the way you can say "you did to much btb, whitout actually saying it" ubblol

thanks man. Thats exactly what i was thinking. No excusses! i didnt really think about what i was going to do before shooting, i didnt use any set formatt it was just playing round basically. You are right on though, i feel i could have done alot more and i executed afew moves poorly and missed more than half my set pieces but hey its only a video so i thought id share it anyways. biggrin

Thanks for being straight up...there are alot of things i want to work on, and this sorta clears up what iv been thinking about after watching it. Best thing about video is you can watch yourself and see exactly what your doing...then you can tell if it you like it or not...its posivive either way you look at it. peace

umm is there such a thing as too much btb? actually i was remarking on how comfortable it seems to be for you, relative to the front. i think it is a good thing, i've seen people do entire routines btb.
the main thing is that you have the planes and the flow. now get real zoinked and dance for a long time to the same song, tape yourself, and go back later and pick out the best parts and stack them up next to each other. there's so much fun just in doing choreography, it's a whole different side to "poi" that really helps your overall spinning.
