So I wanna start on contact juggling. Whats the best size and weight of ball for beginning/learning? Any recommendations on a site to purchase said balls? Im also not looking to spend an arm and a leg for em either so cheap = good.

A frend of mine bought me a cheap set of Bacchi (sp?) balls at walmart, about $12.00. There's about 7 in there and they are perfect. I use them to teach others. There not cleal acrylic, but they are solid colors so you get a similar effect.

A friend of mine who's well into his contact stuff uses hockey balls for practising - you can get them in fluoro colours and they're about the right size/weight and only three or four quid each

Yup - cheap stage balls about £3/4 are fine.
You may have difficuluties with palmspins and other "precise" moves due to the weight (or lack of) of the ball though.
When I started I used a 100mm stage ball and and 2.75" (80mm?) clera acrylic. If you can afford it, acrylics really are good to use, lovely weight and the isolations just have more ummmm "oooooo" to them

I learned how to cj about 10 years ago. I kind of had to teach myself and I used one of those cineses jingly balls. I think it was about 1.75" or 2". I don't reccomend that size though. I suggest 3" or bigger for beginers. The bigger size tends to slow down the movements.
