Anyone up for a mellow sunday afternoon in the lush green fields of Guildford's Shalford park? meditate

The Ambient Green Picnic is pretty self explanatory but to give you an idea it's pretty much like transporting the Green Fields of Glastonbury to Surrey for a day! There's usually lots of people spinning, twirling + juggling and i'm sure the various members of Burnt Toast will be loitering around if not actually performing. Check out the website for more details + a link to last years photos etc...

Hello, me and my fellow spinner Adam are kind of new to the whole spinning in a large group of people, we normally only do it us two and another staff guy, Matt. We're looking to meet new spinners, and this place looks perfect since it's so close to Reading.

Where abouts will you Home of Poi people be so we can meet up with you guys and gals and maybe learn a thing or two.

I may well be in attendance, and, DUH DUH DUM, I may not be alooonnneeee...

My girlfriend has expressed an interest (in the event, she doesn't spin) and there are a few spinners here in Cheltenham who aren't HoPpers that I might tempt along. Afterall, an empty car seat is a waste.

Woot - Nearly there biggrin

So - is the semi-official HoP gathering place - outside Oddballs?

The only trouble with this is/was - it was one of the first places to lose the sun - the opposite corner has sun right through to the end of the day...

Just a thought smile

talking about oddballs, here's the quote of my week so far:

'i wish i was sent to jail so that when i come out i could be like mr.oddballs himself ' - Frodo on his belief that while inside he would have the time to perfect his juggling convert the entire Penal Community into a circus troupe

and the best follow up quote:

'It's more likey that you'd be getting censored by Mr.Oddballs while you're in there' - Durbs expressing his cynicism at the little hobbits fantasy
