Mr Fish o'flame is right, I think we need to have a new thread for the second meet especially as it won't let me edit the title of the old one rolleyes

So here's the open invitation to everyone who reads this to join us in Falmouth. It seems most agree on the weekend of 6th-8th or there round abouts (I'll be there from the 5th) and we're camping

here at the same campsite

and spending our nights

here on Maenporth Beach

If you wanna see what the last meeting looked like visit

Soton Firespinners to download the video

If anyone wants to come just turn up but we'd appreciate a post or two to let us know so we can be sure the campsite can expect a certain number of people although they have lots of space and no doubt would fit us in without a problem.

Its a winner, you know it makes sense, be there or be a square poi and besides what else have you got to do you bunch of weirdos!?! wink

And if we want it better I think we should be a little better prepared for funness, does anyone have one of those massive tents like army ones? Or would anyone be interested in piling into a couple of chalets perhaps? And maybe a generator for tunes on the beach *cough*strugz*cough* for when the bones start showing through Mags' fingers?! wink Any other suggestions folks? Could people all try to bring a little wood with them please? Even a few sticks each will make a massive difference but if Brad wants to use his 100% work discount again that'd be well cool biggrin hug2

So who's-a comin? bounce bounce2 grouphug devil kiss beerchug wow hehe ubbrollsmile juggle weavesmiley ubblove biggrin ubbidea sunny

Mech - you just soak 'em in fuel and set light to them wink

*ahem*

Or, more seriously:
~ 1m of fire rope (25mm / 1" diameter)
~ Thick garden wire
~ Handles with swivels
~ 4 Hose-pipe connectors

Cut rope in half, hose pipe connector at each end to stop fraying and secure wire. Push wire through rope below connector (so it can't pull through), bend wire into loop, attach swivel and handle.
Done smile

ok mine are rope as well but double loop and weigheted to hold them out while spinning

~~ Instructions for mechs ~~
=============================

13mm fire rope (mine are 20inch)

cut doubel the length you wnat (ie 40 inch)

loop and tie at top to create loop using hose grip, and screw tight!

then twist teh two stands together and grip with hose grip one again,

you should now have a twisted section of fire rope

if you like, run chain therough top loop to handles and you are done

HOWEVER

i get a copper ring, slide onto bottom of and crew wick to, and making sure the screws go into the rope you are done biggrin

Er - are (have) people booking pitches already? It's in the middle of the school holidays, so we might need to get in early...

Would be an arse if it gets fully booked before we all get a pitch

I've called to book the plot same as last time but they haven't called back yet. I don't see it being a problem as the site is pretty damn howge! In the message I left I said to them that we would expect about 12-15 tents for the saturday night but slightly less for friday & sunday.

I let you know when they ring back biggrin

So long as everyone remembers to pay upon arrival for all the nights they're there it should be fine. They really do have spades of room.

Ooooh Mrs Durbs and potential Mrs Strugz coming too?
