I've been juggling clubs for a while.

but now I have left the confinds of London. And I'm of for a trip a round the world. ubbloco juggle clap bounce2 bounce

As im not in the greatness of the London juggling and spinning clubs. I thought that I would start this of to keep up with you lot.

And to keep you informed of what is out there in the big wide world.

So the latest moves that I am working on are.

1 Flats:

most of all im trying to do flat back cross.

But also 522 combos with one of the 2's caught under the leg

also box and 441's

2 stalls:

Im trying all type of stalls on different places, feet legs, shoulder and the chin.

do you have any more to add to this.

that I could be trying

So what else are you going to be doing in your new show?
Hope all is well with you.

I have been on a club mission for the last 4 weeks.
learnt to swap from sinc to A-sinc, and singles to doubles.
Also I have hit 7333 more than once.

And working on single back crosses with 3 club, got my doubles down quite well now.

mad

i wrote a lovely email with an order for 10 beanbags to fergie props over two weeks ago and this is the reply i got today.

Written by: fergie

Dear customer,

In order to allow myself sufficient time to prepare inventory to sell at
the IJA Juggling Festival in July and to fill the many mail orders that I
already have in hand, I will not be accepting any new mail orders for
Fergie Bags until August 1, 2005. Please contact me on or after that date
if you wish to purchase Fergie Bags by mail order.

If you're attending the IJA Festival, you can stop by my table and purchase
from the inventory that I will have for sale there. However, be advised
that I expect to sell out most of my inventory within the first few days of
the festival, so please stop by early if you wish make a purchase. (Visit
https://www.juggle.org/festival/
for IJA Juggling Festival details.)

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Happy juggling to all!

--
Michael Ferguson (a.k.a. Fergie)

i.e. i didn't read your email till today and now i'm not going to take your order as i'd rather sell my stuff at the ija convention than sell it to you confused

[snipsnipsnip]

UPDATE:

so i patiently wait for 3 months for fergie to get back from the ija and consider making beanbags again for mail order, having held off buying new beanbags because i heard his were among the best.

but instead of reaching 1 august and putting in my order again as planned, i take a quick look at the website and find this:

Written by: fergie

NOTICE

August 1, 2005

Dear customers,

After a great deal of careful thought and consideration, I have decided to put my Fergie Props business on hiatus for an indefinite period of time while I pursue other interests and try to rehabilitate my chronically painful right shoulder. During this hiatus I will not be accepting any orders for Fergie Bags. I know this will be an inconvenience for many of you, some of whom have been my most loyal customers for many years. I apologize for that inconvenience and hope that you will understand my need to make these changes at this time.

This is not an announcement that Fergie Props will be closed permanently. If and when I make a decision on future production of my beanbag juggling balls I will post a notice here, however it is doubtful that I will make any such decision before October 1, 2005.

Thanks again for your understanding. Happy juggling to all.

--
Michael Ferguson (a.k.a. Fergie)

so i'm giving up.

as far as i'm concerned, fergie bags are unavailable and i can't be bothered f*cking around if this is the kind of service offered.

i'm not saying i don't feel sorry for the guy - chronic shoulder injuries can't be nice.

but when i see a photo of him juggling 8 balls at the convention i get the feeling he takes the demand for his product for granted.

i'm joining bill berry and becoming deputy leader of the silent and slightly biased 'fergie is a twat' club.

i'm sure he's not a twat and i know he has done lots of good things for many jugglers.

but he is a terrible businessman in my opinion and as such, will never get my business.

now to see if i can get 6 panel balls from someone who cares a little more about their reputation...

umm

well, plan has changed slightly.

i've now found somewhere that can supply ruby's (aka 'jugglers prop shop') beanbags which i've been looking for since i met bill berry in derby.

these are high quality 6-panel beanbags.

uri yurman (who makes these lovely beanbags) said that those patterns i linked to above create bags that are still a bit 'cubey' when sewn up.

so i reckon i'll get a few of uri's beanbags and some ruby's as well and see which ones i like the shape of best.
then i'll see if i fancy asking the fluozie man if he's up for making me up a sample 6-panel big undefilled fluozie ubblove

still, when the time comes, it will be a big ask - 6-panel beanbags take quite a bit more work so even if he is up for the challenge, they are bound to be more expensive as the fluozies i juggle are not cheap as it is!

the plan is underway, but i wouldn't hold your breath...

Hay prehaps we can go into it together. I would not mind some of them as well you know. wink

anyway I have a new trick on the way at the moment biggrin 8444744.
I have it on the right side but throwing 8's with my left is realy hard. frown
I was thinking that it might be nicer if I put a 94444 in, instead of the 744.
that would leave the out side 8's lower that the crosing ball.
but my 9's from my left are as s#&t as my 8's.

and hear is one for you cole 64744.

I think you may be able to see the line that I am trying to juggle at the moment.
I am liking those high throws.

ooh six four seven four four, wow, that looks really silly when I type it out like that, erm... will give it a go, been juggling 5 all day, it seems to be better, not sure how many catches or how long, was nice and meditatey though, which was nice, a good minute of solid concentration at one point, might as well have at go at 645 and 744 since my 534 and 633 have been coming along really nicely, 7333 works on occasion but those 7’s are really hard on the left side at the mo… I guess that takes a while to get sorted, I’ve spent the last few days talking jugglers into flashing 7 and watching what they do so that I can get my flash to look a bit neater and (dare I say it) actually work, seven throws are a head f***, they spanner me every which way, 7531 is about as far as I can push them.

hmm, 64744.... facey a juggling race cole? with a 64744 showdown at some point:-)

i've temporarily given up on new siteswaps will - i need some more depth to my juggling to make me a bit more solid i think so i'm gonna try learning some more multiplex juggling (4 & 5) and some more body throw stuff with 3 balls (been doing that for a while now anyway).

i'm still trying to hammer the ones i have started on but its all about the polyrhythms for me right now - if you think siteswaps can get confusing, this stuff will blow your mind!

full on geek juggling for drummers - i can't wait to see jonnny when he gets back biggrin

definitely - i'd better work harder on it before then really hadn't i?!

if you want something to work from, this is the siteswap for a basic 4 ball 3:4 pattern:

(c,g)(0,0)(0,0)(c,0)(0,g)(0,0)(c,0)(0,0)(0,g)(c,0)(0,0)(0,0)

stick it into juggling lab and right click the ladder diagram where you should get a little menu that lets you speed the pattern up (and bring it down to a height you can relate to).
