but now I have left the confinds of London. And I'm of for a trip a round the world. ubbloco juggle clap bounce2 bounce

As im not in the greatness of the London juggling and spinning clubs. I thought that I would start this of to keep up with you lot.

And to keep you informed of what is out there in the big wide world.

So the latest moves that I am working on are.

1 Flats:

most of all im trying to do flat back cross.

But also 522 combos with one of the 2's caught under the leg

also box and 441's

2 stalls:

Im trying all type of stalls on different places, feet legs, shoulder and the chin.

do you have any more to add to this.

that I could be trying

i was in the same disposition

the london juggle crew is fooking loverly, eve is ace, and well funky, cole is tall but thats not his fault, seal os sleek and sexy with ball of all kinds, UCOF is weird, but lovable,

just trust an old robot like me, there is a lot you can learn from a night at spitz

actually there is no way that you will learn anything you first night at spitz, cos you are dropping you jaw far to much

but its worth it for inspitration alone

it will be cool

you have to

my real fear is that all the i know and believe to be true about my juggling patterns will be rubbished and that i will have to radically alter my logic in order to advance. I can't take anymore arguements over the nature of mill's mess backwards (the crux of which being that i am right and all others are wrong)

saying that i would mind being shown all the different 441 millses and the shuffle,

will there be anyone there who can offer full instruction in the ways of the penguin mess and rubensteins revenge backwards (i am *actually* [in a very real and legally binding sense] going to go mad if i can get either of them sorted soon)

fatazpat ;-)

to be honest, at spitz you'd be lucky finding people that can show you all those tricks.

there are a few versions of backwards mills but time-reverse mills is the bitch (the one where all the carries go from the outide to the inside).

peace matt can do this (mind you, if there's a three ball trick matt can't do its only because he hasn't seen it yet, not that he can't do it wink).

i can do the shuffle and the easiest 441 mills (and i'll have a go at learning the rest before i meet you biggrin).

penguin mess is hardcore.

one of my friends can do mills with each of the throws caught penguin, but only one at a time if you see what i mean (u ball, 1 ball or 2 ball but not all three at the same time).

i don't know what rube's is backwards.

to be honest, i reckon a visit to brixton would see you better than a visit to spitz would.

i was running 633 last night.

i dropped lots but i do anyway and for the first time it felt like a solid pattern rather than just a rushed, one-off siteswap trick.

still can't do 64 out of 5.

i need high ceilings at home frown

Thats this weekend innit?

Mech.. Pat knows Eva and I, and Im pretty sure he has met Martin. I know for a fact that he hasnt met Cole (I reckon anyway).

Pat... have you been round my 'ouse yet? You should. We have lots of tea and many juggling spheres.

Ive been practicing 531.

and Boxes with the 4's thrown alternatly inside/ outside.

and getting a 3 ball shower with the 2 behind the back consistantly. I want to learn this before Cole, if he cant already do this. smile

Ive got a question about multiplex siteswap.

If say, you have two balls in each hand, (ball1 and ball3 in right, ball2 and ball4 in left), and you throw them at the same time to when they all meet at the top of the arc, the balls line up ball1, ball2, ball3, ball4, and then ball1 and ball3 end up in left hand and ball2 and ball4 end up in right hand.

You kknow what im talking about...

anyway..

the real question is:

Would the siteswap be something like [[75][6x4x]] ?

rob - peace matt is the matt that says 'peace' instead of 'goodbye'.

i think you can work it out from that smile

and jon, the answer to your last question is no - you didn't even try to work out that ss did ya? ubblol

its a 1up 4up variation.

ss for that is something like ([64],[64])(0,6)(2,2)

then just tweak that so the 1up ball isn't there and the 'plexed balls go to different heights and cross:

([ax6x],[8x4x])(0,0)(2,0)(2,2)([22],2)([22],[22])

smile

i ain't goin this weekend will - you at highgate tomorrow cos i might pop along there if you are?

haven't got number 9 here but i know on number 7 he does 7531 out of and back into 633 mills.
which is pretty good.

yep - just checked and that trick is on there (no 97531 into mills though...?) 7 is a great one actually - just watched it again and he does about 4 variations of 744 with clubs.
mmmmmmmmmmm smile

i doubt i'll be at spitz much at all this winter - its cold and i'm a wuss.

and my balls get really dirty there too frown

but i'm finding more and more that kneeling down at my house and trying to juggle isn't cutting it - i need height and space to wander around erratically.

Exactly..

Im still pissed off that I still only semi understand siteswap.

have you ever read any of the articles on it jon?

i'm sure i posted lots of them around here somewhere...

rules you broke there were:

1. assuming you have two hands on the same arm.
square brackets mean that the numbers inside are thrown from the same hand at the same time. double square brackets don't mean nothin - unless you have two hands on the same arm, like some kind of ultra-evolved freak.

2. you can't mix vanilla and sync siteswap unless you understand the new rules that people have come up with regarding that (i don't get it yet).
normal brackets are used in sync siteswap only - there is no use for them in vanilla siteswap.
if you have any sync throws in your pattern, the whole pattern has to be described using only sync notation.

and on a separate note, i can't do a shower round the body very well at all to be honest jon - maybe two or three rounds at best.
northern can do it really nicely.
stefan sing does that into a shower in the cortortion position and back to round the body eek
high-low shower with the low around the body i actually find easier than a normal shower around the body.
shower around the shoulder i've been trying for for a while and have got no closer to at all frown

I thought it was for throwing both hands at the same time...hence the brackets.

peace matt wouldn't happen to work at oddballs would he? if so i got the time reversed mills off of him. theres a video of micheal karas doing reverse rubensteins here , what a ledge, this guy needs to be stopped, drill to the knuckles anyone :-)

As for the penguin mess, 1, 2 and U balls have all been done independantly isolated, as for the full on penguin mess, well mess would definatly be the word, perhaps not penguin mess, but it certainly is a mess.

anyone got any clues for the 504mess?

you think lots of things though jon.
very few of them make sense...

i reckon you've completely ignored all the good references for learning siteswap and relied instead on whispered generalisations and intelligent guesswork wink

again i say, you can't describe sync throws in vanilla (normal) siteswap.

you have to use sync siteswap which is a completely separate notation.
sync siteswap patterns are described using normal brackets with two numbers inside separated by a comma.
one number is for the left hand, one is for the right hand.

example: 3 ball 1-up 2-up (columns) is

(4,4)(4,0)

but the good thing about sync siteswap is that by judicious use of 2's (holds) you can describe async patterns too.
so for example, the cascade would be:

(4x,2)(2,4x)

now, stop listening to the ravings of a coleman and go read something that's accurate wink

oh right i gets yah, thats about a billion times more easy than i've been making it out to be.

question,

when i do that 1 up 2 up columns thingy, i alternate between my left and right hand, would that be (4,4)(4,0)(4,4)(0,4)?

And what about the big tall box?

if the box is (4x,2)(2,4x)

something ridiculous no doubt, given how stupid a concept 8040 is (that right, right) in the first place.

hhhmmmm, guess its back to learning three in one hand then :-<
