I was in textiles today working on my pillow cases when my friend thought it was majorly clever to come and poke me in the ribs. I was doing this type of stich on the machine where you don't have a foot around the needle and hence, there is nothing preventing it going through my finger eek So she pokes me in the ribs, i hit the ceiling, and my finger goes through the machine...

It went through the nail of my first finger, and out where my finger print was and snapped off...ah the pain frown After i managed to pull my finger away from the machine theres a biiiig pool of blood on the uber expensive satin i bought which means i have to start again mad

I managed to pull the needle out and because the thread was still attached i had cotton going through my finger. Which was very funny to watch all the girls start screaming and run away ubblol

Hehe. So i have a big plaster on it and some savlon biggrin

Still hurts like hell though!

Savage. Can you tie your poi directly onto your finger now?
That'd could be cool. Not to mention excruciatingly painful. biggrin

I tried fixing my poi onto my tongue bar and my lip once. Nearly took my face off.

Ouch!!. How did your friend react? I'm betting she was a bit apologetic, no? biggrin

That's one way to get bizarre piercings, no doubt. But do be careful of possible infection of such, as mentioned above.

Most importantly, heal well! frown

Ow ow ow ow OWOWOW ow ow!

I've always been paranoid about doing that myself. I have a fear of sewing machines now.

Incidentally, you can get bloodstains off material by spitting on it; the enzymes in your saliva digest the blood and it works really well. Every time it dries add a bit more and the stain will come out completely.

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

ooh... thats really not good.... my mum did that once, and now I am really freaked out I will do it... so I dont sew much.

But please get it checked out by your GP as a few other people have said... it is better to be safe than sorry.

OK here is a way to get rid of blood stains... book is a bit old so hopefully u can still get this stuff.
A fresh blood stain can be removed with a little saline solution, made with a teaspoon of salt to half a litre of cold water. Soak or sponge the stain as quickly as possible.
If the stain has dried, pack it with a paste of powdered Borax and a little water. Allow to dry and brush off.

yesterday i bandsawed a chunk out of the pad of my finger when i was making a bit of pub wall (set for a show).

for those who don't know what a bandsaw is - it's a big machine that has a blade which is this big loop wrapped around two wheels that go really fast, and it's designed to rip through MDF and stuff.

it hurts.

I had a dream that my friend had a
strong-bad pop up book,
it was the book of my dreams.
