Ebony Flame, who hasn't been on HoP in a very long time, was in a car accident near Austin today.
He's in ICU with a brain hemorage among other injuries, in Brackinridge hospital.
He's excuberant, to say the least. A loud guy, with an over the top sense of humor, but a good guy and loyal friend. I've been in several shows with him..he is a good performer.
If you all could spare a few healing thoughts, I would appreciate it.

Funny that you mentioned seeing his avatar around FRD...The one you now have is my favorite one of VT's and I missed it too...now I get to see it again.
I too hope your friend is doing better, Spitfire. I remember meeting him just over a year ago (we went to the same high school, so he stuck in my head) and he was very full of energy. I hope he soon is back to his wonderful old self.

Update:
Well...the initial report on Deshawn wasn't quite right, and fortunately, sounded worse than reality.
He had a major concussion, but no skull fracture or hemorrhage. He also has some nasty cuts, and such, but his condition's improved greatly. Apparently, he's flirting with the nurses...which sounds just like him.
Anyway, they're moving him out of ICU either today or tomorrow, it seems.
Big sigh of relief from everyone!

Apparently, he's flirting with the nurses...which sounds just like him.
Nurse flirtation is probably THE biggest positive prognostic sign in a sick patient.
I've actually told nurses: "If this patient stops flirting with you, call me immediately." It's apparently an order they're quite used to.
