I had to do Ballroom Dance as part of school. At first everyone in my class did not want to do it, even the girls. But by the end of the term everyone was having a great time.

I found ballroom dancing quite fun and quite tiring at times aswell.

My parents almost become Australian Title Ballroom dancers but then my father knocked my mother up with my older sister and they had to give it up.

But to this day I still love watching my parents dance...they are magnificent.

So during the years I have picked up a couple of the dances (very basic moves though) just by watching my parents.

I've always wanted to learn some sort of dance style- ballroom, salsa, swing, whatever, but I've never gotten around to it. Sounds fun, though!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

The nice thing about ballroom dancing around here is that it include the standard stuff (waltz, foxtrot, etc.) but it also include the Latin and Swing dances. We get to do everything! biggrin

umm Yes Pounce we'll count that becuase it you and Gnor.

N.B. Kids, don't try this on the carpet. It can lead to rug burns!

I actually took a Ballroom Dancing class with my Dad who is now president of the East Texas Ballroom Dancing club. I loved it, and can't wait to get back into it. My favorite is the Waltz!
