Am at work at the moment, and watching the darkest storm move over Sydney.

It has been a bright day, and it was looking to be a beautiful sunset, but a storm is rolling in from the south. At the edges the clouds are so black I keep expecting to see stars twinkling in them. The centre clouds almost look green, and the air is so thick with moisture that it has become hazy.

Is there anyone else around in Sydney watching this at the moment? If you are and you have access to a digital camera, can you take some pics for me. It looks truly amazing.

Thanks muchly

That's no storm! It's a space station.
It's too big to be a space station.
I have a very bad feeling about this.

The space station is moving quite quickly, so now we are experiencing some heavy atmospheric disturbance (rain). At the same time, the sun is peeping through, making everything a hazy yellowy/green. I am up on the 20th floor, so I can also see a rainbow where the light is hitting the raindrops.

I wish you could see this...

The rain has stopped now, and the harbour is this brass/gold colour, with vivid white trails across it from the ferries. I can usually see out past the heads to the sea from here, but it is all hemmed in by dark clouds. You can see the land quite clearly, but it is as though it is floating in nothingness, no sky just grey, no water, just grey/gold. Sydney is usually a blue and green city. Just now it is grey, black, brown and reddish gold.

There is the feeling of a dome shutting down over the city, cutting it off from the rest of the world.

Lightning streaks are white spasms across the sky
