I just thought that I'd say that I have now tried Vegemite, Marmite, and Nutella.

Vegemite and Marmite are OK. Not wonderful, not awful, but OK. And completely identical.

Nutella, on the other hands, is the manna of the gods. It is an orgasm in a jar. It is pure joy and goodness.

I just wanted to throw that out there. juggle

Ooooooooooh- fluff and nutella sandwich...*drools* (I've never tried it, but it sounds good!)
Never tried the mites, either...don't think I can get them anywhere around here. What exactly do they taste like?

I used to have a hyperglycaemia-inducing snack which consisted of Kitkat fingers dipped in fluff. Then I did Atkins and that world was lost to me.

Can you still buy fluff in the UK? I'm trying to master making soft fudge and have been told adding fluff is the secret way to do it and I've not seen it for several years.

Holland and Barrett do and great blueberry spread that has no added sugar and is pretty much pure fruit, I've mixed it with nutella and baked it in a cake...

mmmmmmmm......

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

Having had a taste test of various 'mite spreads forced upon me while at the Gold Coast, I have to say that I find all of them pretty nice biggrin

Marmite is, in my opinion, the best
Vegemite tastes pretty similar though it's not quite identical
Promite tastes a whole lot sweeter
New Zealand Marmite is a bit sweeter

I have yet to find a chocolate based spread that I don't like, I suppose that means that I'll just have to keep sampling as many as possible ubbrollsmile

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

the mites taste gross trillian. i honestly don't think it's a taste meant for american folk ubblol

and fluff is marshmellow fluff. it's a soft, gooey, fluffy, spreadable version of marshmellows.

Marshmellows and bread?
Marshmellows on toast?

You know, I would love to do a blinded taste-test with the Brits and Aussies/Kiwis and see if they really can tell Marmite from vegemite.

lightning, id half to say, i think they would be able to tell the difference,

fluff is special stuff, yeah you can put it on anything you want (including body parts, if you like), its one of those things that is disgustingly delicious, because its just sugar,

i once melted marshmallows with intent to spread it so it would dry in sheets, diddnt realy work out as it fussed to the paper, but much fun none the less>>luv
