I saw the bootlegged version last night. I won't ruin it for anyone, but I will say that there is some pretty impressive (and beautiful) sword work, including some two-handed sword fighting.

The movie sucks, but the effects are stupendous.

Man, not this one too. I though George Lucas might have been able to learn from his mistakes and decrease the suckitude.

I know I'll see it anyway though. I love any movie with good CG.

Sweet. I love the fight sequences in those movies. Gearge Lucas is getting away from it in the newer movies, but in the original three movies the sword work is based off of the same style of Kenjutsu that I trained in. There are a lot of parallels drawn between the jedi and the old samurai warrior class. It's really quite clever if you know what you're looking at.

In retrospect, I guess it's much better than Episode I. It's scertainly not a little kids' movie like that one was.

I just watched Episode IV and realized that the acting in that was just as awkward as it is in this one.

The hairstyles in this one are the big goof. Obi-Wan has this wierd puffed-out 70's shag pageboy 'do (this is all visible in the trailers, so I'm not ruining anything) and Anakin has this mid-80's rat tail thing going on.

As long as there's some sweet sword action and loads of CG, I'm happy. <--me. And I can't say I was expecting anything extraordinary, so as long as it's not the kid's movie the first one was, well, I guess that's enough of a decrease in suckitude for my liking.

And Natalie Portman would make any movie worth seeing. schwing!

yes i will be twirling tonight - at 'the space' which is in a sidestreet (Caulfield st i think) 10m off from chapel st, on the same block as hungry jack's. twirling will begin at 7:00 and start to finish off at 8:30pm. Classes are $13 each. Wednesday looks doubtful, cus i have gymnastics until 8:30, and wanna come early to the midnight screening to maximise the chances of mindfarking supposedely 'normal' fans.

I want people at strip clubs in a year's time to back look at this wednesday and think: "Wow! seeing those ping pong balls is bizarre, but it's nowhere near as farked up as those fans at the premiere last year! 3 Alsatians! amazing!"

One day I am going to read one of Bender's posts straight through beginning to end and understand the whole thing.

At which point I will check myself into the nearest psych ward.

(We love Bender!)

Peace.

Just saw star wars.

Movies sucks, special effects kick ass. Almost makes up for the movies shortcomings.

Yoda fights and boy does he kick ass. Highlight of the movie.

I'm too much of an outspoken fan (I was on the news channels this morning! woooty woot woot!) to not love it. I would have been satisfied with an avg movie, but DAYUM it has rocked like nothing else. I will definitely see it several times this week! I spent hours with my best friend trying to get teh costume just right! booyeh! two people rocked up as terrance and phillip Jedi - even down to the mop-top hair! we had 2 Jango Fetts where our screening was.

I met someone here whom i adore as my very own sister. She carries herself through life in the most thoughtful, beautiful way, and before my heart bleeds all over my keyboard, it's enough to say that she leaves australia soon and I would jump at the chance to:

1. satisfy my wonderlust
2. catch up with said sibling
iv. conduct yet more list humour.

an oh yeah to keep this post on topic ....
