La haine ? subway ??? good call !!!
and Idiots ???? that, my friend is a film that got me crying like no other film ever. I mean, I cry every once in a while at movies, I cry for girlie things, and cry cause I laugh so much. I like getting into the story ...

But with that movie (and I am thinking of the last scene when she is at her parent's) I started shaking and crying it was not "sadness", something a lot deeper I think. things maybe only the Dogme can pull out ?... anyway ... I am all moved suddenly ... just thinking of that MASTERPIECE which I recommend to anyone... And yes, any Lars Von Trier film is interesting (breaking the Waves, dancer in the dark ...) but ... Idiots is something else...

The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer-- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.-- Ken Kesey

Posted:Now that I've had a bit longer to think, and be reminded of other great films, here's a few more that I really like:

Breakfast at Tiffany's
Grosse Point Blank
Hi Fidelity
Big trouble in Little China
Dawn of the Dead
Bridge on the River Kwai

There are loads more, I just can't think of any at the moment

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I bought the Dark Crystal the other day. The evil dudes aren't as scary as they used to be.

Posted:Damn I was hoping to be original when I said my favourite movie but goddamn too many other people are original too. Gotta love Tim burton, greatest director of all time. Hence my favourite movie would be The Nightmare Before Christmas... My Jack Skellington ashtray is my little totem to him.

Other than that, The Labrynth follows quite close behind... Just seeing David Bowie with socks down his pants is quite amusing... Plus the stunt-double contact juggling is always fun to admire.
