Posted: Well, I'm not the psychosomatic kind, I think , but recently I have discovered on 2 occasions that i have caught bad cold about 1-2 weeks after doing some firebreathing. Some bad slimy caughing and such. U guys think this could have a connection with possible inhaling of paraffin? I mean, u can get chemical pneumonia and such...
Probably a coinsidence but hey, maybe someones a hobbydoc?

Posted: what sort of cold? coughing stuff up? or sniffly nose?
I you are coughing stuff up then id advise seeing a doctor.... i know 2 people who are experienced fire breathers recently who have gotten pneumonia from breathing fire (inhaling the fuel) and been hospitalised for it!

Posted: um, i guess if it was only mild... i still think its worth checking out, dangerboy got an absess in his lung from it and was pretty messed up by it, dont think his lungs will ever be the same.
My advice in this situation is that you can never be too careful ... im not one to be overly paranoid about this sort of thing, but isnt it better to be safe than sorry!
I dont actually fire breath myself, dont like the idea of fuel in my mouth, but thats just me, so i dont know if this is a common thing, although i ever heard anyone else describe it ...
What fuel do you use?
