I posted this in the Suggestions thread, but it was a bit hidden:

MAP THING

As it's a freebie we're limited to 100 pins, so first come, first stuck smile

Does anyone have the techno wizardry to take this idea and expand it? Get a more detailed map, allow more pins, perhaps tie it in with people profiles?

That'd be cool....

Is something i stumbled across. shows where people are logging in from. I don't think you can have it telling you who's who though...

Worth a look, maybe...

Ok, you can either go to my account > edit > location map or User locations > edit your location (under the map).

Edit - Find yourself on the map and click where you want to pin to be.

This was about half an hours work and it's not ready for use at all really. There are a load of issues with it, but the idea was to provide a map of events (filterd by event type, date and other things), a user map with contact forms for each user, and an optional blog and wiki for each event.

It's just an idea at the moment, I will be making it better soon smile
