um.. im looking for more music like:

Jonny Be Good by Marty McFly wink (Chuck Berry)

and Roll over Beethoven by Little Richard.

My question is twofold:

1)What type of music is it? swing? rock 'n' roll?

2)who else should I download this musicwise?

These are considered 50's rock and roll.

In the 60's people took acid to make the world weird, now the world is weird and they take prozac to make it normal again.

i think it's time for people to stop looking at threads about music if they don't like them, and leave them to the people who do want to post on them smile

it's not like there's any inconvenient duplication, like with informative threads (like coloured flames, wire wool, etc)

what does it matter if there are loads of music threads?

i've been having discussions with people about music since i was very very young, and reckon i will continue to do so till i'm very very old.

so what's wrong with doing the same here? confused

although possibly you're more objecting to threads that are just lists. That covers music, either\or, word association and loads of other threads. i'd have more sympathy with that. i don't really like them, so i don't usually post on them. They make very very dull reading.

Jon - off the top of me head, check out The Big Bopper, Bill Haley & The Comets, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Ray Charles and Bo Diddley smile

I got a collection of "Billboard top 10" which had the top 10 songs from that year. You could probably do a search of any of the 50s and early 60s and would be happy with those songs.

It's not swing. It's early rock and roll. (A direct decendant of Swing though.)

i agree simian (and kaji)

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.
