New version has been uploaded. I took out all the none nexus stuff, and spliced it together without flaws and boo boos and stuff. And I put it to a different song. Along with some slowmotion effects to more clearly illustrate the movements.

*sorry peeps, the original video is not available at this time. However, I have replaced it with a somewhat more precise video. Sorry for any inconveinence*

I finaly got it almost down right. It's far from perfect. I only got about 90% of my nexus moves in there. But I'm fairly happy with it. Dio says the quality of my productions have gone down wink , so I'm not supposed to mention this as affiliated with our fire group.... because it isn't. It's just a video about the moves. I didn't name ALL the moves spank. Although I will, if you want me to. It doesn't tell a story, or utilize special effects, or makeup. It's just a video about...... well, you'll see. I know I could do better eventualy, but I felt like publishing a video NOW, even if it is far from perfect. Hope you all can learn something from it. A detailed description of the techniques involved will be made available eventualy, maybe, if it is neccisary for clarity rolleyes: (and you annoy me enough about it tongue ). Thanks guys (and gals) for all your support and inspiration over the years. (if you don't know who you are, you should.... hug

Liked the vid though. Definately gonna be able to learn the butterfly air wraps from that one. Good stuff!

I never said anything of the sort, you're just bitter because I mentioned that putting a video on the internet of you spinning SOCK POI in your WIFE BEATER SHIRT in your LIVING ROOM portrayed you as somewhat trashy. And for the record, I said that it added character to the video, and I encouraged it. So go get yourself some itch cream and quit whining. We love you and what you do for the group. biggrin

id have to disagree with dio unlike the golden dragon and casino night videos you can actually see what moves are being done and appriciate the twirling rather than just see little blobs of colour moving round. i like the background makes the compression work well and its easy to see your hands, the poi etc cos the lighting is good. only thing missing is some contact staff smile id say its ur best video yet

So... at what point exactly are you disagreeing with me? I never said anything negative about the video. I made some references about how "low-budget" it looked, jokingly so while Dan was making his first prototype vid on my computer, but never anything derogatory or related to the content of the video itself. As a demonstrative video it's certainly one of the best. As far as costuming, entertainment value, etc.... yeah, it's not made for that, and I was (like always) giving Dan a hard time over it just for laughs. That's how we are.

[Edited for snarkiness, better mood now]

I'd also just like to point out... the Casino Night and Golden Dragon videos are found in our performance videos section... which means they're basically our shows where we handed the camera to a buddy out in the audience and said "tape us please" while we were busy doing our thing. They're almost certainly not going to have the clarity, focus, or good angles you'll find in our production videos like the Demos/Exhibitions (the category Dan's demo video falls under) or our Themed Productions (Poi's Gone Wild, for example). Situations where we have control of the lighting, angles, etc are certainly going to have better quality video. I would think that was made clear enough from the website, but maybe we have to explain the distinctions better?

Icon.... you so crazy beerchug

you mean like higher resolution and better frame rate?

possibly. I'll have to do it on Doi's computer.

But if I'm going to go to all that trouble, I might just want to film it again and try to get that "perfect run" you know, all the moves with all the nexus-wrap transitions, etc (I have another new once since this was published, butterfly nexus to weave nexus-single poi wrap)

I would have to transfer it all from the master tape again anyways....My computer has to stream it from USB. Dio can stream from RCA, which is much cleaner. hug

"Doi" is still waiting for you to come over and make the first vi- oh wait, you got impatient and made it on your comp. You know, I waited here all Tuesday night when you had said you were gonna come work on it, and nothing. Ah well, you know you can use my computer when I'm free in a few days. FE exam's saturday but after saturday night I'm done, so maybe Sunday afternoon if I have no project meetings?
