just a bit of fun for long poi.....

twist up your twistie, catch the strings less than halfway along the remaining length, let the poi come round to twist again, either take to the otherside again to unwind, or aiwrap and transition, but this leaves you with a rope wrap which is harder to unwind.

ok

wall plane.

tangle the poi

catch the strings of the tangle like you do in a tangle -> recoil, but instead of catching them near the heads you catch the strings halfway down thier ramaing length (the string left outside the tangle.

swing the poi from where you caught it in two smaller circles.

when they meet tangle the poi again.

transition this second tangle to the other side.

let the second hyp untangle

let the poi come off your hands

let the first hyp untangle

breath a sigh of relief that it worked.

should make a lovely spiral in fire....

hope this helps.

Nx, just for the concept of making hyperloops harder than they are just because you can, you're going to hell. And I'm seeing you there.

I understand it... But it sounds too big of a headache to get down. I have enough trouble getting my single hyperloops to work. Not to mention my chains arent nearly long enough for a double. Nice move though Nx?

wall plane -> airwrap !?!

double hyperloop wall plane with catch -> double airwrap -> variation of multiple airwrap, but much more complicated !?!

Sweet (if possible :] ) -> we MUST meet !!!

PS: Did I already mention anything about my theory abour the 4 ways of an airwrap ?!?

i dunno poibox about double hyperloop, its just one twist up of the strings, then a catch, then another twist up of the sting thats left... umm

thanks everso mr tom for this one. hug i know the idea came from somebdy else, but hey wink tongue

will be (hopefully) demonstrating in bluenerd poi @ bjc.

played around with it a bit more yesterday and found to my great delight the second airwrap can be treated as if it were the only one; so giving tanglebuzzsaw fountains, isolations ubblove, etcetc... smile

this reminds me though [NX?] - I got those butterfly finger wraps/loops down now, both alternating and simultaneous. I like them - they are way cool and I'm starting to work on varients and seeking non-butterfly uses for them (like high # beat weave type things that contract and expand because of the finger wraps)

cool move cool
sounds similar to doing tangly stuff with a meteor, only harder.

i think it prohibits the orbital based stuff if it is anything like meteor tangles....?

eg. if yoo do tangled buzzsaw fountain with this won't you get caught up on the transition cos there is a solid line of chain/string between your hands?

i was thinking about that, i recon its ok, cos the whole thing will rope wrap, so the orbital moves around the other one but twists up at the sides, as long as you move the orbital to the other side for the same amount of beats, it should work....

will try later then.
guess it would work if your first tangle goes slack or you manage to get a decent distance between the orbital and the first tangle (by 'the first tangle' i mean the line of string you have between your hands).

asciiairwrapcode:

Code:

o
|
/----------x----------\
| | |
| o |
| |
\=========z=========/
RH LH

RH and LH are right hand and left hand repectively
z is the first tangle (string goes from handle to the tangle and back to the same hand)
x is the second tangle in the orbital position

the problem i see is if there is not enough space between x and z for the orbital to fit.

like i said though - will pick up some poi and see for meself later on smile

'posterboy' may indeed have helped ubbangel

had a quick re-play with meteors to see... two things out of it. orbitals work if you shunt your hands around loads and loads and loads..... (like, the fastest tanglebuzzsaw fountain ever...) or if your first bit is real slack and hanging towards your body. but more fun i think is using the first tangle to recoil off and come out the other way. smile

will have made some attempt at regularity by derby.

( ubbangel started writing bluenerd workshop today....)

letting the first bit go slack is the only way i could get orbitals to work.
couldn't get a decent recoil off the first tangle though - that's too much accurate-length tangling for my liking smile

oo - just noticed in my diagram the left hand is on the right and the right hand on the left ubblol
ah well...

are you talking aout wrapping the poi so that at the end of the twisite they comeback the other way? those are soo much fun. damn hard with glowsticks though.. friggin small ass top to the glowsticks is a hrad spot to stop momentum on.. they aren't desinged to catch like anything larger then a dime does..

no rev, thats not what in talking about.

im talking about making a twistie, catching the stings (not the heads) then using the remaining string to make another twistie which is then transitioned however you like.

ok? biggrin

yo,

just to clarify.

what rev is talking about is a multi beat hyp/twistie that twists right up to the heads then reverses and untwists.

a rope wrap is not a wrap, its what happens when you buzzsaw with a metior, it wraps around the rope. when you do tangle buzzsaw with the double hyperloop it rope wraps.
